I'm glad I found my way here. I wanted to make a game which uses a Chapter System and was really happy that I found one! Thanky ou for making it.

But I have run into an issue and I actually have a question:

Since this plugin (on the preview picture) is also listed for MZ usage, I run into an issue of not being able to use it.

I downloaded the X_ChapterSelect.js  file assuming this was the one for MZ. After rearranging a couple things and when I select Chapter Select from the Main Menu I get the this.standardPadding is not a function error. From what I was able to understand is that this kind of error occurs when using and MV plugin in MZ which results in the plugin not loading at all or being unable to acess it...

I wanted to ask if this plugin is really compatible with MZ or if there is some kind of oversight?

The plugin works fine during playtesting from the engine, but when I hit deployment and run the game, on the options window the volume value reads NaN, and clicking on that throw this error: TypeError Failed to set the 'volume' property on 'HTMLMediaElement': The provided double value is non-finite. I've tried with both MZ files and it's the same.  Also when I use the MZ files the plugin manager notes it as MV and says it won't work in MZ. I get the feeling it's something simple, but I don't know where to start debugging this one.

/t/6083141/unable-to-get-the-plugin-to-work-even-at-the-defaultUnable to get the plugin to work even at the default./t/6083141/unable-to-get-the-plugin-to-work-even-at-the-defaultTue, 10 Mar 2026 06:48:33 GMTTue, 10 Mar 2026 06:48:33 GMTTue, 10 Mar 2026 06:48:33 GMTHello, sorry for the bother but I am having issues to get the plugin to work to begin with. Even with all the default settings it seems to still have errors. Unfortunately I am not very smart with coding so I don't really understand a lot of the words being said. I have also tried to make sure that only 1 chapter was made and that it matched up to start effectively how new game would start, just for testing but I get the same issue. I have tried both the beta and non-beta versions (RPG MAKER MV). I have tried on the menu screen and by clicking new game and using the plugin commands to get to the same menu. (a secondary issue for now is that on the title screen it calls the chapter select menu as "Credits" which I am unsure why and i may be stupid but i don't see where to change that. although it could be a conflict with another plugin? I don't have many title plugins other than to animate the background)

As embarrassed as I am to show my silly game and unskilled skills I will show a video so that my words are not getting in the way of solving the problem. The plugin really looks perfect, I hope that it is a solvable issue and just me being silly.

For what it's worth I have been able to get everything to work except the showing of the chapters in the menu and of course then to let you select it. Strangely on a completely new game it works mostly fine, but with all plugins off but this one on my main project it just doesn't

Thank you very much for this plugin, I'm eternally in your debt! I'm running into an error, though; I'm using the beta MZ version, and when I go to open the scene, the save screen loads instead? Then when I go to back out of it, this error pops up; "Type Error: $gameMap.encounterList is not a function or its return value is not iterable." (This was done in a vanilla project as well, which returned the same error.) And in my actual project, after I exit out of the save screen that gets triggered, I'm getting an error that says; "Cannot read property 'screenX' of undefined."

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, again!
