how to replicate: go to options. change carriage style to [0-1], go to excercise, notice that carriage return style is [q-p] the same is true for [f1-f12] -> [0-1] and [q-p] -> [f1-f12].

so, it's perfectly functional, just not what is expected or intended.

Is this normal? Is this the matter of accuracy and I should try to type without mistakes whatsoever? 

By the way - awesome game, I've been enjoying it immensely and definitely feel an improvement in typing skills, so thanks for that!

Whenever I try to open the game this appears. It worked fine before, it got like this after completing a poem. I don't remember which.

Edit: I really wanted to play again so I just deleted the saves, I only played for half a day anyway. Gonna keep this post in case it's useful.

Trying to go backwards with shift in the menu makes the whole thing rotate
and when you get to "Songs" and it changes to that custom song soundclip, that soundclip keeps playing when you go away from that menu choice, and also when you go back to the main menu.

Also I managed to break it a little ;-)

On the poem selection screen, if I try to go backwards (shift+space) from the starting position, the game crashes with this error message:

One thing I've noticed is that you can't load profiles from a previous build (not a big deal). Posted a screenshot below, I'm guessing this has something to do with the new avatars/profile pics.

Also I've managed to get a bug with the profile screen where selecting a profile immediately crashes, stopping you from progressing down the list. I haven't been able to reproduce this bug yet. It seems to be related to newly created profiles and possibly exiting out of the tutorial or somewhere? Not 100% sure. One thing that can be done to fix it atm is deleting all the files related to the profile in "%USERDATA%\Saved Games\Type Dreams" and then editing the profiles.dat in either Notepad++ or HxD. I've attached files below for reference!

Quick overview: Newer profiles are added to the end with each entry starting with 4 bytes (UID? And 3 NULL's) and ends with a NULL. To remove a profile from the list simply delete the beginning 4 bytes all the way to the NULL (make sure the list ends with a NULL). It will give you a warning about changing file size but in this case it's fine.

Windows 10, Itch on primary SSD, game being installed to an external conventional HDD, no other games have had this issue to date

is there a way i can find out how to unlock certain books?

i had a bug where i could not exit the poetry section using the esc key, have not been able to replicate this since.

profile selection is visible.

upon pressing space once, it hovers on my account, then it crashes.

This is most likely a problem on my end but after clicking OK I get a brief Type Dreams logo with a keyboard and then the following error window: https://imgur.com/a/MuIh1U6

I just purchased this game today and followed the instructions to unzip the .rar file into a folder with a location that doesn't contain any weird characters. When I try to run winsetup.exe or typewriters.exe, nothing happens. The applications don't even start - they don't appear in my task manager or anything. I also tried running them as an administrator, but to no avail.

I'm on a Windows 10 desktop PC. Any idea what the problem could be? Does the game need to be installed on the C: drive instead of D:?

UPDATE, in case other users are having this problem: after troubleshooting compatibility settings, I've found that it works when you set it to "Windows Vista Service Pack 2"
