- A nice entry! Feedback/Critique follows: - UX/UI: Visually, this is probably the strongest element of your game. Great use of external assets - everything is cohesive and works well together. I don't see any bugs anywhere, and it looks like you thought of most things. The only dings - I'd put a quit option on the menu just for the convenience of the player. Another thing that is minor - your incorporation of the impossible language element makes it difficult to understand what that mushroom in the middle is for. A player coming from the outside would be confused by this (it threw me for a second, till I realized why you included it). You want to make sure that all elements on the UI are clear to the player. - Gameplay: A simple loop - it works, but the loop never really invokes the feeling of WHY you're doing what you're doing. Bad guys coming to hurt me, I need to fend them off with a sword - why? What is my objective? Am I being rewarded somehow? Am I trying to survive as long as I can? What's the incentive for doing so? This bit takes away from the engagement with your audience, and is worth considering. - Music/Sound: There was none, and I think you missed an opportunity here. Simple sounds and music move the polish needle ever so slightly. Overall: The game has good bones. It is ripe for extension and expansion, which I think will take it to the next level. The art assets you grabbed were well used and really gave the game a completed feel. I'd love to see this carried forward.
