Casual, playful and fun, for sure. Nothing wrong with these qualities in a game, for sure. You did well and it shows.
Notes:
Thanks for the feedback. The "coming soon" was my 2 second way of submitting this to the jam before catching a flight and starting my relocation. Will be fixing it up today.
Thanks for mentioning the bugs - they are on the to do list for sure :)
The music and graphics presentation are top notch.
I didn't have time to fully evaluate all the minigames but I am enough of a consumer of games over long years to be kind of a curator so I could feel how it was going before getting too far.
Everything made sense, the directions were straightforward and I sensed i was in good hands later if i had gone that far where things were going to require real problem solving.
Excellent work.
Gave you both an itch follow, if you like the things on my page(s), consider doing the same.
Cheers!

Thank you so much :) I'm glad you enjoyed it as I know there were moments I almost gave up on many ideas because my mechanics were not coming together at all.
It took me a little bit of time to figure out how to trigger the minigames but besides that I think it was really fun.
A calm atmosphere of a pet/familiar trying to help out their wizard!
I think it would help to either zoom the camera out a bit or a little map of the game to better understand where you are going and where you can go.
Good job!
Thank you for the feedback and glad you enjoyed the game! I think I will zoom out on the camera and make the mini games a bit more obvious.
Very calming and relaxing gameplay! The visuals are great, but I'd be curious to see how your game would play differently if the viewport was a little more zoomed out so I could see more of each scene—I felt like was up in every character's face for all of the interactions!
I also noticed the white seams while the camera was moving. I've seen similar, sub-pixel oddities in Godot when having position smoothing enabled for its camera but it's unclear if that would apply here since y'all are using Unity.
Lastly, the puzzle mini-game didn't seem to trigger for me, though I was able to successfully complete the other two mini-games. Thanks for making and sharing your game—I had fun exploring and playing!
Thank you for the feedback! The puzzle mini game was to the right of the cat but it is on our to do list for fixes to make it more explicit.
Very cute and charming game! I love the graphics style with the soft shading pixel art. The wizard was also super cool and loved seeing the cat. There's something always appealing about talking animals so I really enjoyed the vibe of this game and I liked the minigame quests. I could imagine a full storyline with more animals in the forest, each with their own unique minigame as part of the story. The music was also very nice!
A few technical notes you'll see in my video: some tiles had weird seams showing up (1 pixel white lines while camera was moving). And I didn't get to finish my puzzle! It was actually pretty satisfying to hunt for the right puzzle piece and have it snap when I got it right. But I wish I could have finished it for real
Had a fun time playing, great job!
Thank you so much for your kind words. The lines between tiles is something I noticed as well but with a ton IRL changes, its on the to do list. The puzzle game bug is also known - I need to see what causes it.
Very happy you enjoyed the game - there were moments we worried it wouldn't get done so to have it playable and enjoyable made my day :)
