How does the game fit the theme?
You can take a risk by stealing your opponent's card, but you might get poisoned for it.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
UI boilerplate was generated with the phaserjs/create-game npm generator.
API client boilerplate & poker hand evaluation code was generated with GitHub Copilot, and the autocomplete feature was enabled in my editor. If this use of AI violates the "no AI content" rule, I apologize. I do not want to deceive anyone, and am just hoping to show off what I built & have fun.

Nice job doing multiplayer, I did that too!

I recommend making the text displaying the room code copy/pasteable (I'm using firefox)

I also wanted to pick up my own discarded card at one point but could only get the opponent's.

I would love to see more explanation of the rules, but I figured it out by seeing what could be clicked on.

Nice UI feedback, the game worked well!

So cool that you made a multiplayer game for the jam!

Awesome work getting multiplayer set up, I hope more people see this so they can see all the hard work you put in. ^-^

Developer

tysm! I’m a full stack dev IRL so felt natural to make a multiplayer game. Definitely see how the MS paint art & not having a friend to play with might make someone scroll past this one though…

on that note, would love to play you sometime!
