This game is criminally underrated (literally). super polished and fun. amazing visuals and VFX, and audio design it top notch. The movement and shooting feels really nice too.
overall one of the most polished games I've seen here.
My only complain really is the unexpected ending (and therefore, a  pretty short experience), but given that its a game jam, and with this level of polish, its understandable.
(I would totally play a full version of this game)
overall, very good job! and I really hope you will get more ratings!

The ending was cut short unfortunately, and I'm fairly unhappy with it. I would have preferred a more cinematic ending, or perhaps just a proper boss fight. I am happy with the visual look, I've not done this style before (2.5D), and think it turned out nicely.

I'm glad you liked it, and thanks for playing. I enjoyed your game as well.

Wow! More peeps need to play this. Loved the style. Great use of post processing, and first I thought parallax, but is it actually 3D? Sooooo juicy. Gameplay gave me This War Of Mine Vibes, but more combat focused.

I had a great time :) Great work!

I'm happy you enjoyed. Honestly, the lack of players is probably my fault: poor thumbnail and no web build. Regardless, thanks for playing.

Absolutely stunning artwork and ambience created through the visuals and sounds. Cool game!

Damn, what a polished game, the ending was so unexpected though. The visuals and the feels of the game are absolutely stunning. My only complaint was how the gameplay didn't really fit well with the theme. But overall very fun game!

I'm glad you made it to the end. The ending was a bit rushed, but I still like the rest of the game myself. I found this theme very tricky to be honest; "Risk-Reward" can apply to just about any gameplay. Oh, well, though, next time I suppose.

Thanks for playing.

yeah I totally agree with you on the theme lol. My game also did very bad on the theming when you look at the score and i guess the core mechanic should be directly tied to the theme. Which isn't what my game or your did sadly.

Wow, the visual aesthetics are incredible. The lighting shader coupled with the rain and the darkness of the scene contrast well with the player character's glow and the dim red laser extending from their weapon. If you could switch weapons by scrolling as well, the game would be even better :D

Developer

I'm glad you liked the look of the game. Switching weapons with the scroll wheel was an oversight on my part. Nice suggestion.

Thanks for playing.
