Ranked from 6 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

How does the game fit the theme?
The world the player is on consists of cells that are either floors (dead) or walls (alive). Walls can affect other cells to become floor or walls in the next tick. It's a ever-changing map the player that could be tricky for the player to understand and navigate.

Killing an enemy will spawn a block of walls that changes the map.

You, the player, is dropped into this strange world with strange rules and you'll have to navigate the tricky world, kill enemies, collect coins, and survive.

The rules of how the cells work are following the ones in Conway's Game of Life.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
The background music and sound effect. I've added the sources in the description.

I had a difficult time trying to figure out what to do at first. WASD wasn't listed anywhere, so my first thought was that it was some sort of tower defense game before I realized I could move, and once I realized that, I was able to just kind of circle around the perimeter of the map and avoid being hit. I think this would benefit from some enemies having a higher speed than the player, as well as potentially some ranged enemy attacks for you to dodge

wow amazing concept!
