Very uncanny, I was going backwards some of the time because I thought something would jump scare me hahah. GJ
Imo, the graphics deserve to be a bit less blurry. Even for VHS effect it's a bit too much... it was like being inside that hot air balloon picture at eye doctor's xD
Still, for a short experience it was good enough. I like open liminal spaces. They're underrated.
Thank you for playing! I could have definitely made it so you can adjust the blur, but sadly time didnt allow for it and when you stare at the same game for a week, your eyes get too used to it and its easy to overlook
you hit the liminal aesthetic vibe right on the head! really creepy
Thank you! glad you liked it:)
I really liked the graphics!
Thank you! not much else to like really:D
This is sick! I can't believe you don't have more attention on it. The visuals were super trippy and you hit that liminal spaces surreal aspect so well! The blurriness did hurt my eyes a bit - which is funny since that's exactly what the dude said, so I can give it a pass. Very simple gameplay, but I think it works in your favor here!
thank you very much:D the artstyle is something im quite proud of, especially the first scene so im glad you liked i!
My friends and I looked at the idea of dreamcore and liminal spaces for our game, but we decided against this, so when I saw this, I was really intrigued, and the game and visuals were way better than I thought. I felt like the atmosphere with the audio fit perfectly in Dreamcore, along with the slightly blurry vision. The only thing I wish for is longer gameplay, so I hope you can find some time to extend this game to be longer.
Thank you for playing! i had way bigger plans for this, but as i said i sadly had to rush towards the end:(
I really liked the potential. The voiceover definitely needs subtitles. The atmosphere and locations are consistent with the game's visual style.
As you mentioned on the game's page, there aren't many mechanics to comment on, but it starts with a nice story. The settings and designs beautifully reflect the "dream" atmosphere.
Congratz.
Thanks, appriciate it!
