This game has a great simple vibe! I like the gameplay and its pretty fun
I just suggest making lily pads flash or change color when shrinking, it’s hard to tell how small they’ve gotten while also focusing on where to jump. A visual cue would really help. if you are somehow gonna use again this ideas.
I'll definitely do that later, my plan is to finish this silly little game. The only reason i didn't do it before is because i didn't have time for it, i submitted my game knowing it was incomplete, but somewhat playable. If i only had more time!
There is a small sound effect that indicates when the lily pads are about to disappear, though.
This game has an awesome simplistic feel to it! Although I will recommend a feature where maybe the lily pads flash when they are shrinking? Sometimes its really hard for me to tell if how far my lily pad has shrank, and usually I feel I have to pay attention to both where I want to land, and where I am currently. Having a color indicator of some sort will make seeing the lily pad's shrink progress much more user friendly I think.
Thanks! By the time i realized i should've done this, it was too late. There's always some little thing that we all forget about until it's too late to add. It was my first time participating in a Game Jam, though. All things considered, I'm quite happy with what i made in that short period of time.
By the way, i played your game and i loved it. Grandpa Hopps looks amazing, lol.
Thank you lol! I have my artist to thank for that. For being your first jam I thought your game was really nice! I didn't expect you to make the change but rather hope you can continue to develop the philosophy of good game development. Like quality life features and stuff. I hope you can continue to work hard on game dev! Game jams are perfect for the experience!
