This is crazy good, the intro and death are very cinematic I really love the music
also so much polish for such a short game jam everything felt so smooth like I was playing a game on steam that I would pay for
great job bro :)
Really enjoyed the game! The art style, music, and atmosphere are really well done. The gameplay is fun and feels polished overall. A few things like difficulty balance, controls, and the gameplay loop could use some improvement, but it’s a great entry for a game jam. Great work!
Hey, thanks for the feedback!
We will try to improve them after the jam is over, do you have any suggestion how the controls could be improved, did the speed felt slow to you, compared to animation or something?
Really nice game! Got a final time of 16:06
The art was really good and the game mechanics were implemented really well. As for the gameplay loop, I think it was really good but got bottle-necked by the difficulty of the game.
Around the mid-game part, I already had pieces of meat lying around the campfire, the dinosaurs didn't really do much damage and the only thing that was a threat was the snow (Which is how I died). That along with some sticks and bones spawning near the campfire gives the player a good sense of security.
Overall, still had an amazing time. Great work!
Thanks for the feedback! Glad you liked it :)
Yeah, we actually wanted to make the combat more satisfying and smooth, since it was one of the important feature of the game, but didn't made for the deadline. We will update it once the jam is over, with proper balance of difficulty and more polished experience overall :D
Very good game, it looks so polished. The art and the music were also very good. It needs a bit of work on the gameplay loop though, but it’s great for a jam. Good job :D
Thanks, glad you like it! And yeah, I agree, the game was kinda scope heavy and we had less time, so some things were rough 😅
We will update it after the jam is over :)
The music was lovely, and I really enjoyed the style of the dialogues! However, the text intro before starting felt a bit unnecessary. I couldn't quite grasp the gameplay logic, and pressing the F key didn't seem to do anything. It definitely needs a bit more polish and work, but good effort on the entry!
Hey, thanks for the feedback! You have to hold F near the fire, it's written there. You might also need sticks/bones otherwise there's no fuel.
Dude, the music in the presentation was perfect, and the game’s artwork is really good too. I have some reservations about the player’s movement speed compared to his animation, they feel a little disconnected, but it’s not bad. The effects fit really well, too. I was wondering why the game had such a low rating, but I think it’s probably just because there were so many campfire-protection games in this jam. But your game is really good. Congratulations!
