Loved the environment design—it really brings the prehistoric dinosaur era to life! Sadly, the character didn't move for me, so I couldn't play through it properly. Great concept, though. Good job!
I’m really glad you liked the environment and the prehistoric atmosphere. Everything worked normally for me on itch.io so I’m not sure what caused the movement issue on your side. I’ll still look into it because I want everyone to be able to play the full game. Thanks for letting me know and thanks for playing!
Unfortunately I felt like my gameplay was affected by how heavy the game got — it turned out really good, but a bit heavy for the browser. I also got a little frustrated with how long the text boxes took to disappear; maybe a button to close them faster could help. Still, a great game overall, congrats!
I put a lot into the world and simulation so I can understand how it could become heavy for some browsers. I’ll see what I can optimize. You are also right about the text boxes. Being able to dismiss them faster would make the beginning feel much smoother. Thanks a lot for playing!
Nice game! Loved the idea of consuming genes and evolving to survive.
Controls were easy to understand and gameplay loop was quite fun
The slime mechanic was a bit weird though, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Also I feel like some SFX or BGM would help tremendously with the atmosphere of the game.
Overall, had a great time!
Thank you! I’m really happy you enjoyed the gene and evolution system. That was probably my favorite part to make. I’ll take another look at the slime because it should always feel predictable and useful. I also recently worked on the audio because I agree that the atmosphere benefits a lot from proper sound. Thanks for the feedback and I’m glad you had fun!
