  • What a lovely game! Gameplay Theme interpretation is clever. I had no issues/bugs while playing. The game ran smoothly. Instructions were mostly clearly given, only the cycling out during combat I only figured out after reading GDD (I thought it was only during the preparation phase, not in combat). There is some leftover text for not yet implemented stuff, and after I beat the game with the healer (and sacrificed it to the gate), the game just froze. GDD It has all the necessary components. You made one of the most detailed inspiration parts. It was easy to see where certain explained mechanics are from. I am missing a timeline, but in your case, most of the stuff you would write in gdd you have already done in Figma. Art Your art adds a lot to the atmosphere of the game. It puts you in a dungeon situation. The sprites are interesting and the bosses. They are gorgeous. Sound design Music creates an intense attitude during the fights. I was missing some more sound effects, maybe for sprite attacks, not just the boss. Overall, you have accomplished a lot in 2 weeks. The storyline, why you need to leave someone behind, wasn't very clear, but that didn't change the enjoyment of the game. With a bit more polish and more levels, this is a game that I would play!

Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes

Summarize your game!
A supposed strategy game where you can micromanage units and move them around.

Please explain how your game fits the theme.
The game has 5 floors/bosses, which each of them requires you to sacrifice one player unit before they are allowed to proceed to the next floor.

A lot of the UI gets cut off which prevents any selection of abilities. Some of the selection of characters are not accessible mid combat due to the formation (guys farthest away).
Sound option would have been nice.
I wish  we had more reason as to why we were sacrificing dudes and maybe get a replacement or option not to then get more risk reward.

Thanks for playing, haha. A lot of these idea wasn't cooked well since it's my first time working in a team, so I didn't know what to expect. It's also probably due to me not really planning these out well.
