That was really, really fun! I hope this gets made into a longer thing later on, because I was really getting into the rhythm of the job lol.
I let my nephew try out your game, and he said it was scary! Congratulations on the project!
Very spooky experience! Really like the visual and jumpscares. The control is frustrating at first but when I got used to it, it's pretty ok. Cool game!
what a nice game!! To be honest I jumped a couple times :)) . Nice visuals and atmosphere.
Good Job fellas!
The jumpscares were genuinely terrifying and I had a lot of fun playing! I actually didn't have much issue with the controls like others mentioned; although, I was never quite sure if the throttle and wheel needed to be clicked to activate or held and turned. Regardless, I was able to complete the game and it was very good!
A solid experience honestly! I feel like the ship controls could use some fine tuning to make it smoother to progress, but the ambiance is awesome! A great use of the visuals and keeping the scares fresh and well executed, awesome job!
Not sure how to give feedback on this one - the concept is really interesting, but the ship steering is not working for me at all - it either doesn't move an inch or overshoots completely. Also, no sound that I'm hearing. Is there something I'm missing?
Hmmm, there should be sound, what browser did you use? Maybe a bug with fmod or smth
I'm in Edge (don't judge me, I'm switching laptops and haven't had a minute to change default browsers :P)
If you still wanna give my game a try, you could try the the windows build, that one shouldn't have any problems. It's at the bottom of the itch page. I think I'll maybe just remove the web build with all these problems haha
What a great concept, I jumped a couple times when the power went down. I know the ship's not actually moving but It really feels like I'm walking on the deck of a moving boat lol. And the ending is absolutely terrifying. The writing is engaging, why they really left samuel bro i'm sick.
Couple of feedbacks tho:
- I'm not a fan of the ship audio design. I know you're going for that low bit sine wavey type beat but it gets tiring to the ears, especially when it plays all the time.
- It's hella frustrating having to turn around to view the radar. Maybe it's intentional but imo it doesn't serve the horror and only hinders the player's interaction with the game mechanics.
And idk if it's by design but the magnet's rope turns invisible for a sec when it's underwater
Thanks for the feedback! The controls definately could use some improvements, having the radar closer to the view of the player would've been better. As for the sound, I didn't use low bit sounds so maybe that was a bug? Only real ambience that plays are metal creaks and water. Seems like there are some issues with the web build, so maybe the windows build fixes those issues
Wait there's a windows build? man I should've played that one
