I think I ran into a few bugs, but we had tons of fun with the style and gameplay no less! Thanks for submitting and excited to play more of your games!

Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed the style and gameplay despite the bugs. I apologize for the language; we had many technical difficulties since we are from Venezuela and were without power, so I forgot to include the English text. This is our first game jam and I only had 3 days to make it 'playable', so I hope to upload updates very soon!

love the artwork and punching people with a stick :D

Developer

Thanks a lot! I'm glad you enjoyed the artwork and the 'stick-punching'. We actually wanted to add more impact and blood effects, but since we only worked on it during the last 5 days of the jam, we couldn't fit it all in. I'll definitely keep improving the combat for future updates!

I enjoyed the art style a LOT, the sound is pretty good as well and it fits the vibe.
I am not sure what to say about the gameplay and story.
I did not expect to practice my spanish in this game jam =) but I enjoy it.

Good job and good luck!

Developer

Thank you! Since this is my first jam, I forgot to switch the language to English, but I'm glad you liked the art! Iโ€™d love to know your specific thoughts on the gameplay and story to keep improving. Any advice?

I would expand the grass at the edge of the map so you don't see the gray between the thorns when the camera is close to the endge.
Deleting/turning the collisions off for/adding a blood effect on the mobs after you kill them would be nice as well.

Mby some more information about the objects, I am still not sure why I get arrested then I get some newspapers and others not.

Thanks for the great feedback! Regarding the gameplay, I wanted to add blood and more effects, but ran out of time for the jam. I'll definitely work on that for future updates!

As for the story, the family was actually running away from 'Father'. He suffers from schizophrenia, and the final scene (which we couldn't finish in time) shows him surrounded by dead police officers. The objects were meant to unlock scenes explaining this, but we didn't manage to implement it.

Thank you for your advice on the map edges and the info, it really helps!

Well, it's beautiful, it's beautiful, nothing is clear, it's true, and I was shot, but it's beautiful.

Thank you! Since it's my first jam, I forgot to add a tutorial and translate it to English, so I apologize for the confusion. I'm glad you liked the art! Do you have any specific advice to make the gameplay or UI better?
