Design Statement
In the first 20 seconds of the music, I felt the sound of water and a quiet sense of loneliness. At 20 seconds, the sound of gears turning appeared, followed by fast-paced drumbeats and interwoven ethereal echoes, as if the rhythm of life was speeding up, as if chasing something, guided by that ethereal sound. After 50 seconds, the rapid spinning of the gears felt like a kite line being released uncontrollably from a reel, combined with the uplifting background, it felt like reaching a higher sky. In terms of key design, I drew on the trend from darkness to dawn, as well as the core gameplay that combines auditory and visual elements. This made me think of flying animals like bats that rely heavily on sound, eventually leading to a story of a bat, injured and frustrated, striving to return to the sky.
