Design Statement
I chose this theme because I felt the provided soundtrack’s vibe was a perfect fit for a relatively cozy walking simulator.
To convey this mood, I went with a first-person perspective and stylized visuals, centering the core gameplay on uncovering the lore through photos taken by the player and the notes attached to them.
I aimed for non-intrusive gameplay so that players could freely choose what to photograph and what to leave unexplored.

The Orange Pines is a short atmospheric game about an amateur photographer exploring a long-abandoned pine forest.
Playtime: ~ 5-10 minutes

Download and extract the .zip file, then run The Orange Pines.exe

Controls:
WASD - Walk
Mouse - Look
[TAB] - Open/close the notebook
[F] - Take out camera
[LMB] - Take a photo
