Design Statement
The whimsy and clear notes of the track gave us a feeling of innocence and childhood, inspiring the idea of a dress-up game set against the backdrop of an era of ballgowns and candlelit evenings. So many of our first exposure to games were through dress-up games and choose your own adventure visual novels. The almost nostalgic nature of the music made us miss those simple times. Additionally, as the track progressed, we sensed an underlying tension that inspired us to add in audacious elements of a branching visual novel; a seemingly innocent game of dress-up becomes an adventure that all comes down to choice. Nostalgia interlaced with the tension of decisions. Clear and bright notes overlaid on a backdrop of steady and deep rhythms.
