Design Statement
We interpreted it as some kind of mystical adventure with a somewhat magical, surreal environment, so we went with a homecoming theme. We started as a pure puzzle game with a kid protagonist, then we were inspired by kid's imagination and came to the conclusion that it would be an interesting idea to use that kind of creativity when interacting with the game world, so we added the space theme and parkour mechanics (which is heavily inspired by Mirror's Edge btw XD)

Pinwheel uses coding agents (such as ChatGPT Codex) to write part of its mechanics and scripting system. Other creative assets (models, music, etc) are either licensed or handmade.
