Fun idea but really difficult to actually play. Some play testing likely would have helped a ton - personally I'd love if my character could move faster and if there was a bit more clear visual feedback for when I was spinning.
I like the idea going on in here, but there are also very big problems.
Enjoyment: 2/5
I feel like the tutorial makes a kinda bad job at explaining the game mechanics thoroughly (in fact, i still haven't exactly figured how the spotlights work). The gameplay idea is actually very interesting but it needs to be explained better imo. There are also very noticeable performance issues the longer you survive a performance, as the spotlights stack up on top of eachother indefinetly, causing a lag-fest.
Creativity and Theme: 4/5
I might be biased because me and my friend also made a ballet-based game for this jam, but I really really like the idea you had for this, I feel like this is by far the game's best department.
Visuals: 2/5
The intro section was alright, but the in-game visuals are VERY stale and bland, they need a bit more life. Bonus points for having attack telegraphs that are actually clear to understand though. :)
Audio: 3/5
The music is not an original composition, but that's understandable, it fits the game well so that's not the big issue. My main issue is that the game could probably use some more sound effects, as im pretty sure there are little to no sound effects.
Seriousness: 4/5
I still have no clue on how to rate the seriousness of a game, but given the theme and vibe this feels pretty serious to me.
