Thanks for joining the game jam! Please note that your GDD should be a Google Drive link but it looks like you've uploaded a standard PDF. The game plays well, but it was unclear what the goal should be. As one other commenter wrote: "the game could use a bit more visual cues as to what I'm actually doing" I picked up a few of the red potions and walked from one room to the next a couple of times, but I'm working off solely playing your game as I was unable to access your GDD (we don't accept downloadable files this time). Hopefully you continue to work on this. I would be interested to see where the game goes next :)
GDD is download only DQ.
The playability is strong, especially with the engaging 'do you have all the potions' challenge at the end. The theme integration mainly revolves around potion collection, but the clever use of shadows adds a great touch of creativity.

Simple Puzzle game find the correct shadow to progress to the next stage.

Extra Notes
literally only had two days to make a game as a lot was going on behind the scenes in my family. Ima be more prepared next game jam. I have been watching plenty of youtube vids and that to help me make games and im learning quite a bit.

Just a bit of fun really. Wanna get into the scene of making games im 23 and really wanna follow my passion.

Good submission for your first game! I have 2 points of feedback:

The incorporation of alchemy is a bit too weak in my opinion. That doesn't take from what you made, but in the light of the game jam that could have been done better.
The main mechanic was really hard for me to figure out. I believe the objective is to align your own shadow with the ones on the ground? That could have been communicated more clearly :)

So the game lags when trying to play and the game also does not fit my laptop monitor because its 1920x1080. Bit too big for a itch.io page game.

i've changed the size for you. Also make sure you have hardware acceleration turned on in your browser. But i understand with older gpu's this game probably isnt the most optimised right now in its current state. Sorry..

ive looked into this issue youre having might just be related to you. If the game seems off make sure you have WEBGL setup properly in youre broswer. Do a quick google search on how to do that it might help..

Looks neat, but I could not get passed the first stage, and have no idea what the "potion" does that randomly showed up. Do I need to press something on the shadows?

After some further playing around, I found a cactus that can line up with the door if you are careful.
Figured if it could go through doors/walls maybe it would push me through.
Saw the other side briefly, then promptly fell through the floor and down down down I went.

HAH I've fixed the environment so it doesnt move around now and the potions are to open the final door give the game a reload and try it now. All you have to do is stand in the correct shadow and the environment will delete and the door will open. Try now and lemme know how it goes.

Sweeet, that time the cactus stayed in place and I was able to get through each door and win the game.

I could not figure out what to do. I think a simpler first stage would help to pick up the game mechanic.
