The smallest nitpick, but I would like a way to get rid of the empty bunk bed frames in the room. They drive me crazy when I'm trying to clean. I bought the sell gun to see if they could be sold and I was met with an unfortunate reality.

you can destroy them by bashing them with a tool, takes an awkwardly long amount of time for it to break though so i recommend using something strong like a crowbar or even explosives

Ah thank you. I did try that but gave up before it actually broke

Hi mrdrnose. A have an a problem: in a paper map, satellite "mike" named "h" like hotel. And when you try to find a satellite, with pointers, many pointers don't show a title.(Sorry for bad english,я из россии)

Love the new changes to the ATV revving, no more jerking etc.

The new terrain is pretty rough and bumpy in a lot of places, which leads to the ATV taking a LOT of damage (ex. going up slight bumps in the terrain or even just going fast on some gradual slopes).
Increasing the suspension, or adding more "tolerance" for bumps from directly under the ATV would make the experience of driving around a whole lot smoother (literally).

I don't know if I missed something but I killed the first boar and now there are like 15 around my map killing kerfur omega. It is a tad annoying to have to hear my radar spaz because boars continue spawning

Empty garbage bags are way heavier then filled ones, like a roll of garbage bags are ridiculously heavy.

I'm pretty new to the game.  I'm not sure what's old or new, or what's a problem, or by design.  BUT

What's the over under on saving session data becoming a thing?  I had a gigantic download that takes like 24 ingame hours get flushed down the toilet twice because I saved and exited the game.  But the data is only saved if it's on a disk and not an in-progress download.

Actually makes managing playtime of the game difficult, as you get stuck waiting for a download when it's irl bedtime or something.

If the data is downloading slowly, I advise you to go to the console in the server room and write sd.calall

If it shows an error, then the server on the satellite is broken and you need to fix it manually

I was successfully able to add and use my ultrawide monitor's resolution (2560x1080). However, when I use a console, I am unable to see the text bar for entering commands, so I'm forced to go back to 1920x1080, which stretches my screen a bit.

so, because of the garbage bag volume bug, my base was basically ruined by the meat rain

volume bug?

I wish the nails would be harder to brake because i added stuff to the ATV and it keeps braking sadly

also maybe it would be cool if there was stuff you could buy from the shop to add to the atv like a place to store stuff or something alike to that

In addition to the tape measure it would be very nice if there were more ingame measuring options. Most specifically I'd like a protractor (for measuring angles) and a scientific calculator. Maybe also the ability to enter maths expressions into the terminals to get an answer?

(Totally not overcomplicating the white argemia ritual with Nerd Malarky)

I genuinely wish this game had a proper borderless windowed mode. I don’t know if the “remove borders” option is supposed to be that, but it does not work properly. It’s still fullscreen. It should act as if the game is in windowed mode, but with no borders… as obvious as it sounds. I also desperately wish this game had an option to play audio when alt+tabbed. Half the games I play don’t even have an option for it, but it’s really not too difficult to add. These two things are so consistently an issue for me that it makes me not want to play at all, but they should be very easy to implement. Please consider it.

I also think this game could really use some other AA implementations - I think it must use temporal AA right now and it honestly looks awful, especially on monitors. The way things blur and mix together is consistently immersion-breaking.

Two more bits of random feedback. Why are trash bag rolls so voluminous, lol? Is it for balance or something? Filled trash bags should be hard to carry around, not a roll. It’s a little bit silly. In fact a lot of items have pretty ridiculous and seemingly-arbitrary volumes - is this being calculated automatically or something? I’m not sure I understand…

I love that you can clean the window in the base, but it becomes dirty much too quickly, especially considering you clean it from the inside… by the way, I think it would be better if you had to clean it from the outside as well, which leaves you potentially vulnerable to anything out there. After all, it’s much more common for windows to become dirty from outside anyway.

Finally… do you want any help with the text in the game? I understand why, but the text often reads strangely and has a significant amount of general errors. Some of this is fine, especially in emails, but things like a lot of the help text can be improved. I’ve worked on copy editing for other small games/mods before (I think most recently Starstorm for Risk of Rain 1, but I currently do subtitle editing for an anime project as well), and I’m happy to help if it’s something you need. If it’s not a priority right now, it’s fairly minor.

I agree with just about all of this. I stream the game, and whenever I need to alt tab to mute mic/soundboard/touch OBS - it switches everything on my two monitors around and is awful. Definitely need borderless window mode immediately. Alt+Enter windows it, but then when you click resume and enter the game again, it goes right back to fullscreen. Sort of infuriating.

  • The ATV should have either a seperate FOV from terminals, or be linked to the character FOV instead, my eyes hurt.
  • Hostile Kerfur is about 90% too healthy in every stage and its health scaling to how broken it is seems inverted, why does chipping away from its armor make it tank damage MORE? Usually, frenzy phases are short but dangerous, not longer and even MORE dangerous.
  • Too many pigs, to the point that I see no reason to properly clean up anymore.
  • A tooltip to show what diffiiculty all affects could be great.
  • Performance graphs and some makeshift excel could add some functionality to the PC.
  • A tablet, similar to the map, that links to one specific camera may be interesting. Incase there is something that you absolutely NEED to keep an eye on, like an imprisoned enemy, or an event you dont want to miss.
  • An option to just NOT have any AA. Nearest interpolation, pixellated, whatever, just not... antialiasing. SOMETHING is adding motion blur regardless of the setting and this is a suspect
  • some scale guides in TXT form in the assets folders could be nice, as well as making it clear which ones can accept transparency and so on.
  • A simple syntax could be used to order audio from the radio to be like GTA. for example:
  1. RadioVoiceFolder (random announcer bit
  2. MusicFolder (random music)
  3. Sting.mp3 (regular normal music file, a radio ad or the good ol "YOU ARE LISTENING TO" thing.

Oh yeah, I forgot to talk about this in my last post: Positional audio! I think it could be dramatically improved, but I’m not sure if this is something that’s just planned for later or not. The current line of sight based audio is… extremely strange, and breaks immersion frequently. Shifting slightly to the right and suddenly being completely unable to hear a TV in the next room with an open door is completely absurd. I don’t expect cutting edge actual-sound-wave technology, but even a simple proximity-based audio system is significantly more realistic and immersive - even though this isn’t how it works in real life, we “expect” to be able to hear things closer, and not to be able to hear things farther. Real life sound is obviously much more complicated than this but it’s definitely out of scope to get this completely right.

I think just switching to a more natural proximity-based system for the time being, if a more substantial audio system is planned, would fix these issues easily.

Perhaps doors and corners could be used to "radiate" audio outwards from them, with a lower volume and some tag to make it bounce X amount of times?

I've found that passing time can help Kerfurs if they become stuck. Not ideal but it helps.

If you're adding boss fights to the game that stick around permanently until you kill them, can you at least give us some vaguely decent weapons to use against them? A spear? A slingshot? Literally anything other than the molotov spam option we currently have.

tried out the game for the first time but noticed there isn't any support for 1600x900 resolution and my UI ends up breaking because of this would love to see it implemented in future versions

This should not be the solution, but I found using a gravgun to position a wall between you and the grabbed enemy and just... walking away usually kills things with phys-damage. Not tested on the big box yet, but if it works, that could be a solution.

I love the game overall, the balance of spooky and trying to do work around it is great, there are so many little things going on all the time. Steady advancement around the struggle to keep a sleep schedule and not run out of shrimp is very satisfying. I like how sometimes the spooky things are just completely independent and indifferent to you and how Kerfur is bad on purpose but can be improved. The overall vibe of everything being slightly ramshackle/makeshift is a lot of fun.

Things I would like to see: more uses for scrap, building things, upgrading things etc. It would be cool to be able to throw some rubber and metal at the ATV to make it more durable. Extension cords would be nice and you could even start fires if people daisy chain them together. Maybe a controller for the drone so you don't need to use the computer interface forever. Better IR or night vision for the cameras at night would be nice, even as a mid game upgrade since almost everything is still just black in IR. I'm sure part of the intent of the game is to be weak but there are a couple of places where you have to fight things and you really need a weapon, or the fights feel more like chores instead of tense moments.
