Had a lot of fun with this one! Didn't know I needed a lumberjack dungeon-crawler in my life until today. The art was charming and the game was a lot of fun to play through (despite me being awful at the game). Great work, dev!

How does your game fit the theme?
The storm is approaching. and the closer it gets the calmer the forest becomes.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
No, I didn't create any of the audio. and I used some reusable code from my previous game.

Fantastic game! I had a lot of fun playing it. Everything about it seems perfectly made. The graphics and sound fit beautifully. The combat was challenging enough but not too hard (for a casual like me for example ;) ). The scaling in difficulty and upgrades was very well balanced, I never felt too powerful or too weak. When the last day came around the absence of enemies game a very foreboding feeling, perfect for the situation! I love the story and would love to see a finished version. Geat job!
Excellent game. The only change I would want would be to make the player a bit faster.
It's really good. The art is amazing and the gameplay is interesting. Also very well made, it feels really polished. Good job!
THIS IS LITERALLY SO SO SO WELL MADE!! Great job :D
It was a little difficult in the beginning but I got better and better at it over the minutes. I love this game a lot!
TIIIIIIMBEEEEEEEEER
1. Gorgeous art in character, enemy and backgrounds
2. atmospheric calm music with croaking frogs, sounds get old and you feel lost in the world. Sound effects for hitting and swinging are MEATY AND CHUNKY
3. smooth attack with lots of range, combat with a variety of enemy types, plus randomized encounters
4. a looming story builds great atmosphere
5. i never got to the shadow realm, I assume this was cut, I was excited to see it, DM me one day if I can go there!
One of the best I got to play this gamejam!
The art style, music, and SFX Are top! The camera shake and responsiveness are great, the axe throwing mechanic and in general, the game feels very responsive. Loved the upgrading attacks and enemies.
The story was also great but could be cut a bit shorter. Instead of showing many text prompts one after the other. (Made me lose interest after the 3rd\4th successive text prompt). The connection to the theme felt a bit vague.
A truly amazing project!
Good job!
This is really good!! The gameplay was fun and it felt really polished. Love how on the third day all of the animals are gone, it makes it feel more eerie and tells you that something is about to happen.
Lovely warm lighting, and a lot of attention to detail, really good work :)
I really enjoyed playing the game and noticed that the lighting is wonderful, and the idea of focusing the lighting on specific places in order to make the player focus on a specific place and leave the dark place without explanation. The player will understand the method of lighting, and this is a wonderful thing. I hope you will try my game and give me your opinion about it. Regarding the mechanics of the game, I know that it is downloadable and not as easy as a browser, but I care about your opinion and how to improve it.
This is probably my favorite game from the jam so far. Even if it's unfinished, this is such a great foundation
This is a great game and definitely one of the best from this gamejam, Key details I like is how the music sounds like a clock ticking the seconds away, and that unsettling feeling on the 3rd day, amazing submission on this jam!
Absolutely blown away by this game! The amount of thought and passion that went into every aspect is clear. It’s such a smooth, enjoyable experience, and it really stands out in all the right ways. Amazing job—keep pushing the boundaries, you're onto something great! I will follow you because I hopes you will add more to this game for example go into dungeon crawler and rouglelite or rougelike. You can add some player progression (cards and some modifications) other weapons etc.
I think this is my favorite interpretation of the theme I've seen so far. No other game has captured that quiet eerieness of the calm before the storm like Timber does. It's a shame you didn't get to the storm part, I would have really liked to see what you had in store because the rest of the game is top-notch.
