How does your game fit the theme?
Bibliotopia is a calm world, but soon it will meet a vicious storm.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
- Just going to put this here.. but the leaderboards error is intentional. You ended the game, I just can't load the leaderboards. Due to Unity WebGL not allowing me to do my API calls.

All code, assets and sprites where build from scratch.

Cool little game, anyway it might be more challenging!

A solid entry, but I don't know if it's just me but there isn't much of a challenge. Kinda wished that the tornado's tier level would grow based on the amount of buildings you destroy, because I can just easily destroy the capitals and just be done if the location.

I'd be happy if you also played mine :): /jam/brackeys-12/rate/2973690

This plays really well in the web build with all the particles. The game ended after I defeated the 2 cities. I think it was short but its really fun.

Good music and graphics. I love to see the tornado evolving and it really matches the theme

I loved the art and how the tornado looks more menacing as it evolves. The music is catchy as well and implementing a leaderboard in a game jam submission is very impressive.

Stage 3 tornado was my favorite, those poor towns didn't stand a chance! Very cool game, I liked being the storm for once in this game jam!

The leaderboard really adds to the game so much depth. Without it it would just be basic fighting game. But trying to beat the others is really motivating.

Good job,

This is a cool game! I'm a big fan of that intro sequence, and watching the tornado get bigger and bigger is very entertaining. Great job!

The work is SUPER polished, the most visually polished game I have played in the jam so far. But I stil think there need to be more to the gameplay to keep players around I guess:v

Well done on the submission! The art style and vibe are excellent. The Tornado has a lot of character!

I liked the implementation of the 'Closest Capital' locator.

I do feel that the core gameplay loop could do with some adjustments. My experience was:

  • Dash to next capital -> Stand on Capital Building -> Wait until Capital Building is destroyed -> Repeat.

Unfortunately, it didn't feel particularly engaging as there wasn't much challenge. I wasn't taking much, if any, damage from the enemies at all, so I didn't have to worry about them.

I feel like with some further thought and expansion of the core loop, you have a fun experience on your hands. Nice job!

What an amazing feedback message you give us!

The core gameplay could indeed use much more polishing and thinking. As of the damage this is indeed as you experience it. The week wa short but filled with lots of fun! Hope you had the same experience during the jam week! Thanks for playing!

Neat little game with some great art. However, I felt like the game was too easy. I just kinda stood there and destroyed everything.

Really nice game with cute graphics and music. I like the evolution of the tornado, and it's a good idea to add the distance to the nearest "city".

Ideas to improve your game :
- First I didn't understood I must to click to unleash the tornado (I didnt saw the crack). Perhaps add a message "Break the glass"

- It could be better playing in fullscreen (It's a itch parameter)

- The hand  is a little bit to big for the UI, I think.

- I like the idea of voice acting, but the sound is bad :/

But nice job by the way ! Keep it up !

Hi thanks for playing!

- As a kind reply, at the start you just got unlucky with the random messages I feel like because 3 of them mention tapping the glass, as does the intro voice does.

- The fullscreen button got deleted by the edited html file of Unity to embed it into my own website at https://vvoids.com/webapp/tornadio

- Yes we saw that after publishing, the unity editor shows it smaller than during the editing process weirdly.

- There was no time to redo the voices. But we'll take that in count in the next brackeys game jam to not get it so crackly. As all the other feedback! Very constructive! :)

Very cute graphics. I like your game. Keep it up!

Hey ! Great game, I loved this power rising feeling you feel each time the tornado grow bigger, so sad to not be able to continue due to a unity package error !

Anyway, well done !

THAT WAS FUN HOW I CAN DESTROY THE TOWNS

Very cute graphics and I think it's great that you went to the extra trouble to record the story with your own voice!

I really like the flash animation work through-on-through! The volatile nature of the tornado as it sucks the animated buildings is consistently satisfying. Some of the sprites did look off even for this style, but I would say there is a lot of visual work put into this.

The gameplay is somewhat satisfying, but the dash movement did feel jerky to use, and the avatar would sometimes get stuck on random unclear borders.
