Even though it's not entirely complete, I really liked the movement, and the overall idea looks nice) I’m not sure if it was intentional, but I found the missing spike piece to be a very cool exploration reward, especially since it allowed you to completely avoid the queen)

I like the idea! I can see the potential for this though. If developed further this could be a turn-based cult classic. Keep it up!
I got spawn camped by the queen but at least I got the pawn to kill the other pawn somehow? Not sure what I was suppose to do in game lol but it's pretty neat!
I managed to get to the queen, though I wasn't sure how to defeat them.
It's really cool how there are sections of the board where you can go off the actual board and into the white space. It feels almost gamebreaking, but it was built into the actual game.
The movement controls, where there's the dot, were also interesting.
cool game! found a glitch where if you die while fighting the queen the queen will follow you to the spawn point and spawn-camp you
This has SOOO much potential you just need more time I truly think this can be very cool though.
You do certainly have some cool stuff happening in that game. I hope you can possibly finish it later
I like the concept - A menu to pause or quit, music, and more chess pieces around maybe blocking your path/trying to attack you would be good additions IMO. The movement system was fun :)
Glad you like it! I did planned to have more pieces and music too, but I sadly didn't had much free time to work on the game.
But I do plan on working on this game after the jam ends, until its at least similar to my original idea of the jam project, which had a lot of scope creep for a jam game lol.
