Cool one! Where did you get the animated talking lady? Looking for assets, this one looks awesome!

Developer(+1)

thx.
I created the art and animation myself. Dm me if you are interested in cooperation. :)

Remember Trap Adventure? This is the next generation!

Developer(+1)

:D I take it as a compliment, I wish I put in more trolling mechanics like in Trap Adventure!

Submitted(+1)

This was really good. The visuals look great and the game feels very good. Would love to see more of it.

Developer

Vielen Dank, JonasBrot. :)

Very surprised by the level changing every time on the same base, giving new ways to resolve it.  Great level design!
Graphics, sound design, and the narrative could be improved (but already great for a jam) . Maybe extend this on several levels. I was hoping something after the end when I replayed it, some other sort of level, or the "real" game as the game is now "fixed".

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!
Yes 100% agree. I originaly had a different ending planned ( with the game crashing and some fake Bios hacking/dialogue with the character.) But I had to cut it/rework it into some simple enscreen because of time constraints.

The Idea with a fixed game afterwards sounds great too.

Absolutely amazing! I can't belive you made this in 3 days. The only thing I would say to improve it would be to randomise the error/restart a little more and to make the level change the way you complete it in a little more than you have done. All in all, a really great submission!

If you have any time, I would love it if you were to check out my game as well. We both seemed to have used similar glitch effects :)

Hey DefineDoddy, Thanks for the Feedback.
I agree I could've changed up the level design a bit more and also make the original way to solve the level impossible so you almsot always need to find a new way.

Nice one! Interesting, i loved it :)

It's a really fun game, I'm surprised you made this in 3 days also... but if you want to continue this project, I recommend you making the map bigger/getting bigger every time you get the rectangle

also, I could be wrong, but isn't it a white square? xd

Developer(+1)

Thanks Enzo. :)

If I take more time to develop this game I will definitly improve and scale up the level design.

... yes, you are not wrong. But a square is also a rectangle. ;)

Submitted(+1)

also, if you really continue it, I'm looking forward to it, I already saved in my collection :D

Super fun game! Controls are tight, sound design and music are awesome, effects are well-made. Levels are fun, I loved the part when the player could jump super high, felt really satisfying to bypass all the previous annoyances :) Top-notch job for a 3-day game!

Developer(+1)

Thank you, Herald!

Whoa, this was really, really good! I liked the glitches, the changes happening in a single level, and the "feel" of controlling the character. V_XO was nicely drawn. The sound design was great, liked the music, too. I think the music should've also become glitchy. One of the checkpoints was buggy in the wrong way - I got stuck in it on several different iterations of the level, and had to exit fullscreen and mash the restart and movement keys to break free. It was after the area where you learn to double jump, but not in the first glitchless iteration. It seemed like there was going to be some interesting story behind the game and glitches, but never came to fruition. If you keep working on this after the jam, I'd like to see more story. Would be interesting if you turned it into a metroidvania where you can access places when the game glitches enough!

Developer

I appreciate the feedback, Jorava and I'm glad you enjoyed the game.
Thanks for reporting the bug so precisely, I will try to fix it.
Also the metroidvania idea with more story sounds great!

Submitted(+1)

Glad to hear it! I re-checked the checkpoint - it was actually over or right before the double-jump spikes, not after them.

Submitted(+1)

Very Fun Game!, I like the controls and the Concept. :)

Developer

Thank you, Coffee Monster!

Great ingame tutorial, the game was great too ;-). The iteration on the same level was interesting and the "level 1" text glitch showing the actual level number was a nice touch. Other than that, is it the most polished platformer I've played so far. I was also wondering what's the name of the font you used?

Developer(+1)

"Great ingame tutorial, the game was great too ;-)" cheeky ;D

I'm glad you enjoyed it. It's a Google Font called: "Turret Road". :)

Submitted(+1)

beautiful game! i love the iteration of the same level. might've glitched for me (got stuck at level 4, with an unmoving purple square?) but i really enjoyed the experience — super well executed, color me impressed :)

Developer (1 edit)

thanks for the feedback!
I'm sad that you had to experience that gamebreaking bug. Do you have some more info on what happenend before the player couldn't be moved anymore, so I can try to fix it.

Submitted(+1)

i was jumping over the 4 floating squares, past the big immovable (slightly unseeable) rectangle.. sorry that's so vague. just got trapped there at like square 4. it wouldn't reset, and i couldn't move

Developer(+1)

thank you for clarifying. I will try to investigate further.

Submitted(+1)

I like how you change the level over time, very cool.

Submitted(+1)

The implementation is soooooooooo good! Really liked the game! The only thing is, I think the camera is a tad bit too high up. Other than that, really well-done, amazing!

Developer(+1)

Thank you alot Kintrix :)))
Yes, I agree others have noted that too, I definitly should have experimented with the camera more.

Submitted(+1)

Excelent concept and implementation. Pretty cool

Developer

thank u!

Amazing game. It definitely deserves to win, best one I've played so far. I would love a tutorial on how to achieve the glitchy graphics :)

Also please check mine out if you have the time. Would love to hear your feedback :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks, Harfsen :00
I might do one on how I create glitchy effects (no promises) but in the meanwhile here is a great youtube video about glitch art from one of my favorite bois Sinix.

sure, I will check out your game. :)

Excellent take on the theme. I've never thought about making every level like an upgrade to the same level. I really like that idea and that's probably the main reason i'll rate this high. Amazing job!!

Developer(+1)

Thank you Cho00. I'm happy you like the idea. :)

Excellent game keep up the perfect job, really should be polished and released on steam, Great job mate!

Developer

:0 thanks for the kind feedback Voxy!

Submitted(+1)

Smooth gameplay, great visuals. I think I'm most impressed with the save progress mechanic. I think this game would be very frustrating without it but I think you already knew that

Developer

:D yea while playtesting early versions I got frustrated  by the original whole level reset, so I implemented the checkpoints.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)

Submitted(+1)

This so good!

An absolutely stunning game! The visuals are great, the music fits perfectly! I wanna see more from you in the future. This was a really great experience, and if extended, would be Steam level quality! Keep the great work up!

Developer

Omg, that's such a supportive comment, thank you affax!
