Cool game! I liked the variety of obstacles & how some of the presents were in tricky spots. I also liked the graphics & audio; they really added to the Christmas atmosphere. Good job! :D

In this fast-paced platformer, a Candy Cane meteor strikes Santa on his journey to deliver presents. Players race through snowy mountains, collecting scattered gifts and dodging falling candy cane meteor fragments along the way. The goal: save Christmas as quickly as possible!

Very fun platformer. It took a bit to get used to it but I really like the platforming. Plus, the art is amazing!!
Really fun platformer and the story at the start was so cool!
I did find a bug that if you fall down in a specific place the game will not restart and you will be stuck there
When i first loaded in i thought it would be like a race against the meteor. "Always slides past earth only this time IT WON'T BE" dun dun dunnnnn. When it switched to the platformer i was a little disappointed, but ultimately was a good submission for what it is. Like others said though platformers main strength is control tightness. Feeling like the player always has agency.
I feel like if the movement were tweaked to be a bit less slidey and more responsive and the game was made to be a bit more forgiving after a fall (i think i passed a checkpoint but nothing happened after i touched it) it would go a long way.
Good submission! just needs to adjustments for player feel.
The game looks adorable, the designs look great :). I liked playing the game but felt that it was kind of hard to play because of the lack friction on the floor.
Hey there! This was great to play, I managed to win with a time of 1:23 and collected 23 gifts. I have a few pieces of feedback:
-
The gravity scale felt very high, like I was being thrown at the ground when I wasn’t actively jumping. It made some of the platforming elements very difficult, like landing on the penguins to make my way across the pit of spikes.
-
There wasn’t a strong distinction between the penguins and the bears. It took me a while to figure out I could stand on the penguins without taking damage. Making a clear distinction between what is friend and foe often makes the play experience more enjoyable.

Falling off the map should respawn the player at the ledge where they fell with one less life instead of restarting the whole level. It goes with the rest of the pattern you had established in the game where doing something bad takes away one life instead of restarting.
Overall, amazing job!
I wish there was a checkpoint system so that the player can restart at a certain point, especially at the part where I have to cross a large bed of spikes. Other than that, this was a nice game.
Very cute and pleasant visuals/audio. The slippery controls made the game a bit difficult and frustrating to play, but overall, I enjoyed playing it.
Cool idea you have here. Fits well for the theme and is a nice jam game. The sound design is good and you made a good choice for the music. The plot is also pretty creative I love the candy cane meteor. I also had something come from outer space in my game's plot and I saw some similarities between our games so I thought that was pretty funny. Good stuff!
