Blind Rage: A Weapon's Diary's itch.io pageJudge feedback
Judge feedback is anonymous.
- GDD: The document seems good! However I would love to see images or gifs of game mechanics. Perhaps some images of watercolor art to show the thoughts behind them. It would also highlight for why the art direction went into watercolor art. Game: The game controls using mouse makes it harder to fine-control of where the weapon should be. Perhaps using WASD for control of the sword/axe would be better? I feels like the game could be improved with some sort of skill-tree, so it could be used as a roguelike with permanent upgrades, so it would work against different enemies. (I only spot two kind of enemies, but still just an example) The artwork looks great, but it is also blurred together, which makes it harder to figure the depth, but since the player is not in control of barbarian's movement, it wouldnt matter, but it is still a good highlight to make.

Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes
Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes
Summarise your game!
You control a melee weapon that a raging barbarian is wielding, they forgot how to swing you, so you have to do all the work, before he runs himself into his demise.
[A] - Swap to Axe.
[S] - Swap to Sword.
Mouse movement to move weapon.
Left click or hold for secret techniques that deal more damage!
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
You are the weapon that has to take over fighting because the body of the wielder forgot how to fight from raging too hard.
Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
This was our first project together. The art work is all watercolor painted and scanned in, with edits to make them fit!
