- First of all, great job getting something to this level of polish in the short span of the jam. The whole time while playing the game the mechanics feel finished because they don't seem to have any of the inconsistency that is very normal to see with prototypes. Whenever I want to make an action the game responds as I would expect. This is definitely not a give, specially for a jam project so congratulations on that. Another really strong point in your game is the art. It is good looking, stays consistent across the entire game, and has a lot of character, looking like modernized version of flash games. Amazing job with it. Again on the polish that was achieved, great to see that nothing was left behind, the art, mechanics and audio are all at a polish level above what I would expect from a jam project. Really glad to see that there was thought behind the feedback of the player's actions, that being visual or sound. This brings juiciness to the game, and makes it feel extremely good to play. There are a couple of things I'd like to point out for the team. Balancing: While it was a lot of fun to see all the mini games and action I could take, I couldn't help but feel like the balance in stats was off. The choice for the actions inside the apartment to be spammable and giving a tiny amount of stat, on top of not having a daily cycle to limit the number of actions per day makes choices on what to do, or specially what to prioritize, not matter. I'd say one option would be to have a daily amount of hours to use, each action consumes some of that time, and the actions give a lot more stats per completion. GDD: I'd recommend spending more time in this stage of development, either it be for expanding this project or when working on another bigger one. A GDD is primarily a tool to help the developers, not to present the game to others. Your GDD touches most of the important points, which is great, but it would make it even better if more depth was put into it. One of the main ones I would say in this case is the mechanics section. Work on specifying how the mechanics work and interact with each other. This kind of solid definition is really important when working on bigger projects or withing a group.

Summarise your game!
A Gun's Life Is Boring is a simulation game that puts you in the life of a pistol going through their everyday life. The game is made up of various minigames meant to simulate daily tasks. Each minigame will explain their own controls but largely mouse based movement and navigation with some exceptions when arrow keys and the space bar are used.
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
A Gun's Life Is Boring is a very literal take on the prompt of You Are The Weapon. We wanted you to not only feel that you are in fact the weapon that is in the game but also that maybe the weapon is you by putting the gun in more "human" situations.
Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
Please have fun and click around, you shouldn't be worried about missing anything but there are three minigames:
1: Going to work - Click on the door next to sink
2: Having Fun - Click on the TV in front of the couch
3: Counting Sheep - Click on the "bed" gun case

Cool little minigames! It is challenging, but it was fun.
Good job with the art. the tv minigame was my favorite.
love the atmosphere, but hate the minigames
Cute art! I love that there are a variety of minigames to play and each one is unique. TV was my favorite, it very much reminded me of wario ware. Good job!
Thank you so much for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it. The TV was definitely a call back to old flash games we played.
The concept if funny and the art is great. The mini games are way too hard and I had an impossible-to-pass obstacle on the scooter.
Thanks for giving the game a try and your feedback. I'm definitely tempted to keep polishing the game even though the jam is done.
