- Build A-Bomb is a game where you create a math equation to increase the yield of a bomb and then drop it on unsuspecting home-owners. I definitely got "war games" and "dr. strangelove" vibes playing the game. Fun if simple, i would have loved to see a bit more connection between the math problem and the attack stage. For example, it would have been great to have "kill all red buildings, but no green" objective, or destroy everything in <5 bombs. Mathmatically, basic arithmatic is a good early game start but having harder problems to make it an algebraic "teaching" game would be a great direction to continue on. Sounds wise, the intro music that leans into the cold war era atmospheric sounds such as basic synth and scales is a good idea, it fits the game objective. I feel the jaunty music while doing the math is a bit too mad sciency for the style but thats a very personal choice, so there's definitely no wrong answer. Overall, great game!

I love the unsettling feeling the title screen gives off with the music and piano. Everything has a little sound when hovered over and clicked. You added a lot of fun little touches to make the game interesting and satisfying. I especially like the red light when you arm bombs, and the button feels like it's actually being pressed to launch. The bomb explosion feels surprisingly weighty when you get a big one.
Thank you for the feedback!
I quite like the concept. The deploying bombs part was a little tedious, I could just keep throwing bombs no matter what my bomb score was, so then I just needed to wait till it was done. But a few iterations further this could be a very fun casual game.
Thank you for the feedback!
I made the math equation 1-1=0 but the bomb wouldn't deploy for some reason. The music is not very fitting to be honest, I mean you're literally priming a bomb to be dropped and the music is very cheerful sounding. I'm not the fondest of the drag and drop system for solving the math problems, it feels like your just completing a first graders homework assignment that is in a google slides presentation which, given the fact that you are dropping a nuke on people, feels very out of place. At the end of the day you made a game, and the graphics and audio for it too, so great job!
Thank you for the input SubLuminary!
I would like to point out that firepower 0 = no explosion, and that is by design.
Ohhhhhh, hol' up let me try this again.
