  • Solid entry! I enjoyed blasting myself through the levels and using one last bullet to make sure I got on the platforms! I liked being able to explore a bit to find faster paths through the level, so it was cool how it was open like that. I felt the game was very punishing... which I guess seeing your inspiration makes sense. I think for a game jam game it might be nice to have a few checkpoints, it feels pretty bad to have an error that doesn't feel like your fault that causes you to go back so far haha. My one issue with the mechanics of the game is the way the screen movement interacts with the aiming mechanic. If I am aiming to right, I place my cursor somewhere to the left of the gun and shoot to move right. But once I hit a screen transition, my cursor is now to the right of my gun! If I'm in the middle of a jump this makes me flip the opposite direction and shoot the wrong way which I found to be very frustrating. One way you could consider fixing this is having one continuous level instead of multiple screens. Otherwise, I had fun with the game it was very challenging! Nice job!

Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes

Summarise your game!
You wake up in a dark cave and figure out that you have become a gun, using the recoil of your shots for movement, platform your way through three different levels to try and get answers.

Please explain how your game fits the theme:
i took the theme in its literal terms, and created a story that the player transformed into a gun. the story is shallow for now but i plan to extend it.
