I actually made it up to 4k I think before the game hit me with four words at once. Is the secret supposed to be revealed through what you're meant to write?
While I enjoyed the game, it might be interesting if there was more back in forth in combat, (type a word to attack, then type a word to defend maybe?) instead of it just being you miss a word you die.
I also thought the writing sound that plays when you type was a bit too loud.
Very cool game with Tearaway-like graphics. I like the vocabulary becomes more unknown, long, and complex as you progress. It's absolutely hilarious to see THAT many words that refer to the most disgusting, vile, and violent acts mankind can commit. The gameplay needs a bit more stuff, it gets boring after a bit.
Great work!
Cute and simple typing game. Would have been nice to see a bit more but otherwise good job :)
Made it to 2725. Love the art style, but the gameplay could benefit from some extra spice or variety. Still, nice job in the allotted time!
Love the style of the sprites and the environment! This reminds me of playing typing of the dead during IT class at school
It's a fun little game, you could definitely expand from it! I like the graphics, and the enemy folding animation is really fun. It would be nice if you could add some story! Perhaps a dialogue before each battle? It was also hard to tell if I was progressing in the dungeon. Perhaps as the level gets harder and harder, the dungeon itself could change, showing that the player is going deeper? It was a little bit tiring to start the game all over after each loss, so I would suggest to add something like a "save" - when you loose, instead of starting at the very start of the game, yoou start at the level you lost at. I couldn't really find the secret, so I'm not sure how well it was implemented, but the idea sounds fun!
Glad you liked the graphics and folding! Half of the work was spend on stylizing the models in blender and via shader, hence we were missing time to polish the gameplay to the level we wanted. The idea of the dungeon changing as one gets deeper sounds great! For sure would be a great addition. When it comes to saving progress we for now intentionally made it more arcade-y and more like a insta-death roguelike.
Why there is no "surgery" after "knee".... I got 1674. I like how typing become more and more difficult
What I suggest is to add some more mechanics. For example — you can add possibility to type one or two letters wrong (and it's okay). Also, I think it will be nice if last second will lasts actually longer. It will create a sense that you should hurry (and you will get a relief if you got in on time)
And I did not find secrets:(
I'd love if you play and rate my game too!
