fun horror game, the puzzles werent too hard but it did take me a minute to figure out all of the boss mechanics, i really enjoyed the story of the game though! so sad that the boss got to biggy though
Beautiful game. Great atmosphere, great artstyle, great music, perfect amount of mechanical depth for a simple horror game like this, and doesn't go on too long. I was even invested in what little story there was.
I think this is not only an excellent jam entry, but also a competent indie horror in general. Loved this.
such an amazing style and atmosphere, it immediately grabbed my attention and refused to let go... GREAT WORK!!
Much like the original Silent Hill 2, I am charmed by the aesthetic, and frustrated by the controls by the time it comes to combat! Played to the credits, is there only one ending? I enjoyed it overall. I think a bit of fog/rain obscuring draw distance could have helped sell it even more, but that said I wouldn't have wanted to lose the view of the town. I could easily imagine this as a demo or vertical slice for a bigger game :) Thanks for producing it!
I was looking forward to playing this since I saw the clips of development that were posted on the Bigmode discord. The mood from the environment and sound design made the atmosphere the perfect amount of eerie-- well done! And the animation of the player character is charming! I really enjoyed this!
What a vibe! Love the art design, just like everyone. I love loved that early bit where the note says "great view of the city, hope it's still there tomorrow." I cherished that skyline, man. You accomplished some incredible storytelling in a jam setting. I loved the contained puzzle design of each room. I uhhh- couldnt beat the boss tonight. It really seemed like I needed to lead it to the drain, knock him off the ceiling with a wrench and then hit the valve to flush him down, but it never worked... and then I died,
LOVE IT! Will finish but I have more games to rate!
This was awesome! Really loved the visuals and the player character design. Just finished it and would love to see this expanded upon.
This game is so cool I love the mix of ps2 style graphics and the 2d sprite for the player. My favorite part was coming out on top of the dam and being able to see my spawn point below, that combined with the city in the distance makes the whole scene feel really cohesive and believable. I only have one minor complaint and that's the sound effect the big slime makes when you alert him in the tunnels, it seems like it was meant to be a jumpscare but it just hurts my ears.
Played it all the way through and quite enjoyed it. The visuals and gameplay was unique and interesting. An impressive amount of work for a game jam really well done!
Great ambiance, and cohesive, fitting style! Loved how the lore played into the final fight too! Only gripe, is that the final fight could use a health bar or some visual indication of "how close" the boss is to dying (shrinking, but speeding up or something like that?) just to verify to the player that it's not just being stunned. Great work!
