- Hello Pirate Jammer, Thank you for the submission. Starting with my experience playing the game. Everything worked pretty flawlessly, I didn't run into any major bugs with what was here. The mini games in Scene 2 and 4 felt a big janky with the controls but I was able to intuit them quickly. The art was awesome, the color design with the pixel art was great at setting the tone and the story was heartfelt and meaningful. Finally, the GDD you made ticked all my boxes and you executed well on what you set out to do with the time you had. Thanks again

Honestly, what a beautiful game. The art and animations are fantastic. The music sets the perfect tone for what the game presents. The way the story is told is simple, and yet has a lot of depth.
The story is enough to make you think how a person with a whole life behind them, an incredible amount of experiences, thoughts, dreams, aspirations, moments of wonder and peace has an end to their journey like this. It's incredibly tragic.
It's a really well put together experience. Very well done.
I love the style of this game, the art and sound design is 10/10, and the minigames were really fun! Really interesting story too.
Nice blend of history and art , also poetry with the Haiku , a very atmospheric experience, on how short life can be
Oh god.... this is so beautiful, yet so sad... don't know what to say. Been to two museums with Ohka displayed and it just make me sad each time seeing it. And seeing it in game...
Anyway. This is a wonderful entry, the story, the art (oh the art), the minigames, even the waka. This is so good. I do encounter a strange bug during the climbing sequence where the flower just doesn't show, and there is no way to proceed but to restart. But other than that, this is a very nice game and story in a simple yet effective bundle! Nice work. Should belongs to a museum though. Really
Stunningly beautiful game/art. The plot was pretty heavy, but I think you managed the tone well, making more of an art piece than a traditional game. It is a very unusual interpretation of the theme but it does fit perfectly. Despite all that, the mini games were still pretty fun, and felt like they fit in the story instead of detracting from it. Great job to your team!
The artwork is fantastic. Clever to tell a subtle story through visuals and gameplay. Well done!
Woah this is beautiful and one of the best interpretations of the theme that I've seen. Act 4 was very moving. Congrats on the good work!
I got chills. This is the kind of game that excites me when it comes to game jams! I always love seeing how far story telling can be pushed as a medium and seeing it here in a game jam is really cool! The art style is perfect and the music helped create this great atmosphere! It's so brief, but I love how you humanized that character in the brief amount of time you had. It was really effective.
I think my only critique is that the font can be a little hard to read and I wasn't sure how controlling the plane in the first or second act really worked. It seemed to fly by itself, but if I let it just spiral I just shoot, it would inevitably crash. Maybe there's something I'm missing.
Either way, great job!
Amazing presentation and a really fun game to boot. Hat's off to you, thanks for sharing this little gem.
Such an exquisite art-style, with an incredibly concise playtime that left me wanting more in a good way; this felt like a perfect length for a game with the theme of the dehumanisation of war. It ran super smoothly, every frame felt perfectly measured.
The game my team worked on explores the same theme in a completely different way, and it was really interesting to see a different perspective on it, different answers to the same questions of creative decisions. I really loved how the character of the protagonist came through in those brief memories, how the hints at their life make them feel so real and alive. This will stay with me for a long time.
I'm really impressed, and thankful for the meaningful experience you all built, great work to everyone on the team!
Truly beautiful game
