  • GDD: The document seems short. Perhaps add some images to highlight some context of art and game mechanics. Perhaps having a section on how roguelike works in the game than a game experience. A GDD is like an elevator pitch. The more impressive and outstanding it is, the more people will be interested in the pitch. Also perhaps include a development timeline to display the game's state Game: The game is very unclear for movement. I had to look in the GDD for how to move around. Perhaps get a popup that uses arrow keys for movement or use WASD for movement. Also, I think the game would benefit a lot if there were like help (like man command in Linux) for looking up what commands could do for the new players. Perhaps a command history would be nice. The combat part feels a little overwhelming (I am glad that the kill command works for this), so I would recommend getting a proper step-by-step tutorial for this. The game feels like "hacking" with just Linux commands (no coding was required. Just basic Linux knowledge), but it doesn't feel like I am malware-ish enough to be a weapon. Still amazing game!

Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes

Summarise your game!
it's a small roguelike game about malware that tries to steal data
movements is arrows keys
typing for commands and enter to submit
commands take effect when player is on grid right on file node

Please explain how your game fits the theme:
as we are playing malware, using commands invokes "code" inside player character which I think fits the theme

also pointers and memory allocations are ass

Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
if combat seems too much just type "kill"

I am a fan for sure! I just wish the input was locked so I didn't keep scrolling while playing

Really fun mashup of command line games and rogue! Could have benefitted from some audio even if it was some simple ambient techno.
