Awesome game! I had a fun time shooting the asteroids and grabbing upgrades. Would have played longer if my hand wasn't tired from clicking. Great work and thanks for sharing!
I couldn't stop playing. It was interesting to feel - getting such a sense of power while playing jame from gam!
Love it! This really lured me in like old flash games did when I was little. Got really fun once I figured out a couple of strategies for getting good runs. I love the fire sound too! It's like a little kick drum!
...Ok, so...
In the really late game, when it starts to lag, the fire rate takes on this cool triplet groove that I couldn't get out of my head. I ended up making a beat out of it. Can't post it in the comments here, but it's in the Jame Gam discord in the #showcase channel.
Hahaha yeah I planned on adding some more late game (something like a prestige that reduces spawn rate but makes them stronger, harder, etc) but ran out of time, so I figured that the real "win" is when you lag so hard you can't play anymore.
Also, that song is amazing!! FYI - all sound effects were done with https://sfxr.me/.
Like the upgrades between rounds and it is easy to understand! Well done :)
Thank you!
Really liked the roguelike element. Progression feels nice, and the game is engaging. Congrats!
Thank you!
I think this is a very nice take on expanding the original asteroids game. The roguelite element is simple but adds a nice spin and the exponential progression feels great. Though I agree that I would personally prefer it if it was a bit faster paced!
Thank you! I agree, I purposely slowed down the first couple rounds to act as a tutorial and ran out of time before doing a few rounds of extra balancing beyond those. Thanks for the feed back!
I like the concept and being able to buy upgrades in-between rounds, but I wish the gameplay was a little faster paced. Thanks for making and sharing your game!
