Unfortunately this submission went over the 1,000 word limit and has to be disqualified. It is an excellent story, thank you for submitting it.

Developer

Completely understandable. It was a fun writing jam regardless!

Unfortunately, I had to check, and this story runs 211 words over the maximum presented in the rules, which means it should technically be disqualified.

This is a massive shame considering how good of a time I had with it.

Always love some Saurian action, and the Mesoamerican flavor really added a lot for me.

Developer

I chopped it and chopped it and chopped it again. In the end I was just happy it fit on one page.

Fish!

Fish indeed! Nice read and reeks of the need to be expanded upon in the future!

Thank you. I had a quite a bit more written up for this but had to leave it due to page length. Perhaps this will get a fuller treatment at some point!

Good job! I like how you stuck with the mesoamerican naming theme, and the detailed troop movements make the action very clear. I think a little more characterization could help to get the reader more invested and help the action shine even brighter.

Developer

Thank you! I had to leave a bunch of description and characterization on the cutting room floor. I agree with you entirely.

Well written and fun to read, but …. something is a bit fishy! :P
