- This is a really great entry! I really loved the opening sequence, and combining the swords together is a great mechanic. It both adds a lot of complexity mechanically, and is also just fun to collect them and make swords that look cool. I think that part of the game is really really solid. As for the battling mechanic, I felt that there wasn't a lot of depth to thinking through which battles I took or even the understanding of what was going on. It seemed like there was initiative, speed and damage, but mostly I didn't have to think too much about it. I got by quite easily by just picking/buying the coolest looking sword and fighting the hardest looking enemy. A good reference might be Overbold from UFO50. In that game you have to challenge more enemies to earn more money, if you dont take hard enough fights you'll fall behind the difficulty curve and die. If you take too hard of fights, you also die. Could be an interesting mechanic to take inspiration from. Overall I thought the entry was really really good. Very original idea that has a ton of potential, if the combat were tuned up a bit I think the game could turn out really really fun. Nice work!

Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes
Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes
Summarise your game!
This is a strategic autobattler where you build an army of blades to fight other blades. You can combo hilts, blades and effects from any of the blades with any other of the blades.
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
You are a sentient sword, you assemble an army of fellow sentient swords to fight.
Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
The combo system ( there's 14000 possible party combo's )
The dynamic autosaving, you keep your stuff when refreshing.
This game was made without the use of a game engine, so just basic web stuff.

The first thing that struck me is how great looking the weapons are, so I had a look at some of your other art and was super impressed! And of course, all the other graphical assets in this game are pretty well-made too. The game itself is also great. I can see people getting addicted to it
Thankyou so much for playing! ♥
Wow, the art, music and UI is amazing! It's insane what your team managed to put together in 2 weeks. I think the only things that need to be addressed are:
- When you first click on an in-game button (like army for example), you're able to click off the screen while it's still explaining to you what it is. It's a small thing, but I think it would make more sense to have you stay on the screen while it's still explaining, even if you try clicking off it.
- There's not really any feedback in battles. A lot of my attacks had 'Distracted' pop up, and the game doesn't explain why the attacks miss, or if there's any way to make sure more of your attacks land.
I will definitely be giving this game another go later on though. Great work!
Thankyou so much for playing and providing feedback! ♥
It's amazing game! Like graphics, music, gameplay, sound effects and mechanic of crafting swords, like, any sword you can imagine and go to quests with a team like hero in adventure!
Your drawing skills are mindblowing, do you mind in chance to participate in game jam with my team? Game jam lasts for 7 days. Or just stay in touch, would like to see your other projects :)
Cheers!
Thanks for playing!
As for your request, Just know the project was a team effort- not 1 person :P
I'm the lead programmer,
Yutami did all the artwork.
Ducky was doing Admin/GDD and Programming.
Ethan did our music & sfx.
Hey thankyou so much for playing! The team is staying together for brackey's which I assume is the same jam you are referring to! I'll be sure to reach out! Make sure to follow us for more projects like this!
Really cool game with great execution ! I like the music, the gameplay was fun, my two cents on this would be on the UX level, I think it would have been nicer to start a battle right after selecting a quest !
Keep up the good work !
Thankyou so much for playing!
Thanks for playing, the Quest => Battle has been suggested quite a few times and we have since updated the game so its working like that :D
Kinda what happens when you have multiple devs working on separate systems under pressure. :P
I love how fun it is to get new weapons. Only thing i wish is the game would get harder over time, but it was just the same enemies that my 4 special katanas minced in 2 turns haha. Loved it, great work.
Thankyou for playing and providing feedback! We will try and find a good balance for progression!
