I LOVE THE MUSIC IN THIS SO MUCH!! It's such a bop!!! Also love how the visuals turned out! The controls are pretty finicky so it's a little rough to play since the mouse placement is where i'm pointing rather than pointing in the direction im moving. it makes this a pretty tough game to play. The use of the limitation was brilliant! Would definitely work on making controls easier to work with if you continue with this project!
The concept is cool, but I feel I'm actively fighting against the controls. You move faster moving diagonally, but it feels like you move too slowly if you don't move diagonally. Not being able to tell where you're aiming made shooting too difficult to be worth trying it, especially when I'm already struggling with the movement.
It looks cool, and the idea is cool, but the most difficult part of the game being the controls is something of a problem.
The visuals are incredible, love the ideas with the buildings coming to life. I dislike the health bar in the bottom left, it's unexpected, usually it would be in the top left or right. It's a bit annoying having to get used to it, but whatever its fine. Not having a cursor, or anything to see where you are shooting, is very annoying and makes the gameplay feel a lot worse. I feel like I have to guess if I am shooting in the right spot, usually I am not lol. Also, I feel like I don't have a goal, like I am just playing to kill the building monsters. I don't know if I am missing something, but that's kinda just meh imo. Giving the player a goal is important, throwing them in a world and telling them to explore can work, but I feel like this isn't that kind of game. Great work nontheless!
Cool enemies, passionate music, outstanding 3D graphics, and the randomness of the game and enemies—although I can't see my mouse cursor and don't know how to replenish my health, this is still a very enjoyable experience!
Yea we made the aim be without a mouse/cursor/crosshair because it got tricky due to the isometric view. Since the character can only shoot horizontal any point that you could click which is higher or lower would have caused the bullets to go into a visually different direction than intended. So instead we quickly made a aim method which tries to simulate a controller right joystick for aim where it just takes the last direction of mouse movement and rotates the player in that direction.
Regarding the Health there is currently no way to heal, that's by design to make it more difficult.
Incredible visuals and feedbacks, however its IMPOSSIBLE to aim like idk why but its just so strange
And also i could just run through the levels and never fight
but the ambiance and all was amazing, great work !!
The game’s movement is a bit weird at times, and it’s often impossible to aim, not only because the cursor is invisible, but the character seems to be looking at it in the 3D space, which messes things up a lot. There also doesn’t seem to be any objective, so it gets boring very quickly. The models are quite polished and everything looks clean. Music is also a nice touch, nice job
