This was a really impressive game, and your mechanics worked great! I found that when I tried to slide under one of the swords from the trap, the character automatically stood back up after sliding instead of staying crouched, so I got hit a bunch by sliding instead of crouching by accident, so I would recommend crouching after a slide, but that's just a little nitpicky thing. Great game!
I really want to see this being expanded on! Liked the story and the gameplay. Smart and unique!
Love the voice acting too!
Well done! :D
It's still an impressive mechanism. The story and map go well together.
I really liked this platformer a lot. I think you did a great job of teaching us how to play. And, I really liked that the difficulty wasn't that hard. The spear mechanic was also very cool, both for killing and for getting to higher areas. Really well done.
Well done ! I like the whole look and setup of the game. I did not pass the part where i had to dodge projectible and fighting monster at the same time. But i definitely want to try again. well done !
This game has come a long way from round 1. The platforming was overall very enjoyable, I did struggle with the section when you have to climb the pillar using multiple spears. Couldn't always get the spear to throw when I was standing on another, something to do with the ground check I'm assuming. Overall you hit all the main criteria for this round so well done! Great job!
Great spear mechanics!
Love the dialogue and the cute art. Nice voice acting. The character animations were super polished. The spear platforming and the sliding under the oncoming projectiles was very satisfying as well.
Great work. Can't wait to see where this goes.
Loved it. It had a very cinematic platformer feel , like prince of persia or flashback.
I like to imagine that this just becomes the story of "That time the dog just had to chase a rabbit so I had to go into an alternate dimension and do a bunch of murders.... " ;)
hi the story are great animal fits the game perfecly the only thing that i hate is that the jumping is realy slow and it slowes the paste of game but exept for that nice game
This was cool! I had a lot of trouble with the platforming, but I can see what you were going for. I love some of the puzzles!
Ah, very excellent spear mechanics and the dog was a great. Had some issues with the controls, but it was really fun.
Another metroidvania! This was cute but everything just felt slow, especially with the amount of times you need to navigate back and forth through the same areas. I really liked having the central mechanic of a spear that you upgrade throughout the game but the dog as a mechanic felt horrible and was very glitchy, the part where you need to use it on the button I just skipped over. The spear being used for both platforming and combat was neat but the combat was lacking and with only a limited amount of enemies in the game that don't respawn I was left wanting a little more. Having most of the falls result in you just having to repeat a section you've already done several times was a little bit cruel. I still got some enjoyment out of it, though. Overall, nicely done.
Almost everything out the movement feels great! With the exception of the spears, they feel overall slow. The amount of times I tried to throw a spear while jumping, or running and was just denied is countless. The story however, was really fun! It's simple, but made a great addition. Still one of my favorite games from round 1!
I really like the idea behind throwing a spear and being able to use it as a platform. Good work.
