I got my game finished and it froze during exporting. So I didn't get to export it until 10 minutes after submissions closed :( I had issues with my godot project on my windows pc and the whole program was unusable due to this screen flickering problem. So I had to quit and restart 5 days into the game jam and create a game on my laptop running linux. I was close but just a little behind trying to make the game usable with parallax layers (which I had to learn last minute on the spot to implement my game ideas required mechanic of the sun following the player for the chasing effect) My ultimate goal of this jam was to submit something and I failed. But I learned a lot and I'm happy with the progress I made these past few days. I will still release the game on my itch.io page as a funny story and a reminder of my first game jam :)
I can't wait until Brackey's next Game Jam, ill be more prepared and ready to show how much I will learn between now and then.
thank you Brackeys for teaching us so much with these last 3 tutorials, and good job to everyone who finished and submitted a game.
Heres the game, its very unpolished and has some issues currently with the parallax background I tried to setup
