Also a GEM! Smooth gameplay, good concept and overall fun. For a Solo Dev this is impressive entry.

Very very awesome game. Really great concept with great execution. Probably the best one ive seen here.

Played a second time and got a personal highscore of 279k, which should be good enough for me. I like the idea very much, being Tetris but something else, feels quite creative! I also like the variations of the different blocks in the game, and was presented in a nice way too! Being able to choose from two possible "upgrade" is very nice and doesn't overwhelm the player in any way. Kudos for that! The intro and outro story make me giggle a bit too, which is very nice.

For some criticism, I'd say there should be block descriptions when you first select the block too, and not just only during the block is spawned. My second game over was exactly caused by not being able to read fast enough and understand what that block needed me doing, and that feels a bit unfair. I would also suggest the cursor stay where you last placed a block, rather than going back to the centre, but I guess both are good enough and I guess make it an option for the player to choose from.

Anyway, love this game quite a lot, will do a third run before moving on. Well done!

Great little game! Started to get a little difficult to keep track of what the properties of the different blocks were. Great work! Already a solid game that with a little more could probably make a steam release.

Very creative take on a tetris! It was well polish and every aspect of the game is great.

Would be perfect if I could play totally with the keyboard as other mentioned.

Overall, very good submission, keep it up!

One of the best games I've played from this game jam! I love to see such a level of innovation on old classics. I'm unsure if the "you lose" is the intended outcome, usually that implies it's also possible to win the game. Also I wish I could have been able to play without using the mouse to see the block info since everything else could be done with just the keyboard.

Great game! Good visuals, audio and overall ambience, as well as unique gameplay. In my opinion, new blocks should start on the same column as the one that was just placed. I feel that when it resets to the center, it ever so slighly breaks my flow and focus that has now been shifted. Well done!

Game design and picking blocks is genious. Graphics and audio is also very great. Had fun playing it.

This is great, such a neat puzzle game! It was a bit hard for me to immediately grasp and remember what each block does, but this is a matter of experience, I think. I think I might continue playing this casually from time to time!
Also I really liked the way music changed depending on what block you hold. Such a cool little thing, but I imagine you had to compose a whole different arrangement of the main theme for some of them, and this is some extreme dedication.

Nice game nice Art love it!

I liked how you took the simple tetris mechanic and twisted it. It becomes increasingly difficult to plan ahead as the game goes on, and you have to strategize when picking up cards. Very nice !

Bamboo is my favourite material, but maybe it's because it reminds me of the tetris 4long bar lmao

At first I wasn't really sure what the mechanic for building was, but once I settled in I found it quite relaxing. Can see myself coming back to play this again. I really liked the intro cutscene as a means of setting up the game. Only thing I found odd was the use of mouse solely as a hover over for what the blocks do when it wasn't used for anything else.

Always love a good arcade. This game actually takes much of my time to play. I thought adding timer would be better at first but then game progressed real quick and I am relieved that there is no extra stressor lol. Really blew away how simple reinterpretation of retro games make a game this addictive. The simplicity actually helps me to immerse better in this game. Very excellent job on this submission!

Interesting take on the Tetris/Arcade genre. It took me a couple of plays before I figured out what the different block types were and how the scoring worked, so possibly some small tutorial at the start could be helpful. But once you get the concept down it works fairly well.

Really good game for a solo developer! The instructions were not overwhelming and the progression was good. Good job!

Interesting take on a classic concept. It looks and feels really polished. Good effort for a weeks work!
