How does the game fit the theme?
Our protagonist, Dig, an archeologist, gets the ability to rewind time after falling in a ditch and encountering a strange statue. He is then tasked with preventing a war between two factions that might just destroy the valley and the villages in it.

The only problem being that he has to do so in just a day. Whenever Dig is not able to prevent the war, he uses his powers to rewind time and try again, ensuring that nothing ever goes wrong!

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?

Really good game! The mouse movement was a nice touch and I liked the old retro arcade game feel!

I love the gameboy like visuals, the only thing i would appreciate would be wasd movement, other than that, great game!

Wow, this is seriously impressive for just a week and a two-person team!

The art style nailed that classic Game Boy aesthetic—brought back so much nostalgia! The funny dialogue at the start immediately set the tone, and the background music reinforced it perfectly. The gameplay itself? Super fun! The loop felt really solid, and I found myself wanting to keep going.

Personal preference, but I would’ve loved WASD movement as an option. That aside, fantastic entry! Can’t wait to see more from y’all in the future!

Really impressive game! Very polished and I love the Pokemon looks and music.

Maybe I would have preferred to move with WASD instead, but that's just a personal preference.

Solid and polished game! Nostalgic visual choice and UI.

The story is well written, it hooked me up and made me played the whole game to the end!

Some minor flaws:

1. Why there is a timer?

2. I wasted a lot of time running around, not knowing what to do next to progress the story. Really need an objective panel.

3. Some puzzle location can softlock the game I guess? (Stones block all of the entry paths)

Still, a great entry! I believe that you guys can make even greater games in the future!

Hi, Thanks a lot for playing the game and providing feedback.

The puzzles reset once you re-enter the room.

Although we had designed the story progression to include info gathering, I feel like it became a little too obtuse. Since the parts of the gameplay it was going to support had to be removed due to the looming jam deadline, it ended up becoming a little redundant.

Now for the timer, it's just there to get the player feeling a little tense, and something that can go along with the theme.

Either way, thank you so much for your feedback. We'll do our best to make the progression more intuitive and the game even more polished.

Cool adventure game. At the start, I got the boulder order wrong, just went with the middle one, and then had to restart the game, couldn't find an undo button. Awesome work!

As for the puzzle, you could just walk out of the room and then walk back in to reset the it.

Great Zelda-like adventure! It's amazing how you were able to draw and create so much in just a week, an enormous amount of work! Well done!

Very cool!

The music loop was a bit short without being seamless, but thats complaining at a very high level for a one week game. Good job!

I'm so impressed with how polished this game is for a 1 week jam! Really incredible use of level design and making the different villages feel very different despite using the same art assets. I also enjoyed all the creative puzzle designs and ways to open the door (love me a good pokemon strength puzzle)
I only wish we could have seen the final temple Dig was trying to get into!! But an incredible job, you all should be proud, especially if this is one of your first jams!

As for the final temple, I'd say it is really not something that can be made even if we had a month,

But Our ideas for that place and what to do with it are already in the works.

Lovely game, I love the gameboy-like graphics and the nostalgic feeling that it gives, I can see myself playing it again after the jam <3

I'd appreciate if you could rate my game as well :))

Wow, If i didn't have to rate more games, I think I would be stuck on this. Nostalgia hit well. I kinda wanted a pokemon that could break the boulders, lol.

My only feedback is that it did rely a lot on the lock mechanism. Overall, cool!

It's amazing. A stylish and lengthy game, you can immediately see that a lot of hard work has been done on the project. Thank you.
