Surprisingly entertaining game, it keeps escalating! Would be nice some sound effects in combat, besides that well done!

This is really embarrassing, but I was only able to get up to level 3, and took me a ton of tries to get past level 2. But I definitely liked what I saw! There was a pretty strong implication that the enemies were villagers that had been shadow'd, which is spooky. The dialogue was spot-on, the visuals were cool and atmospheric with a nice colour palette, everything just worked together to create a dark, immersive tone. I also liked how the bodies of the slain remained present in later levels. However, I think he hitboxes on some of the scenery might be a little large, since there were places where I should've been able to run through a path but hit an invisible wall (such as in the photo attached). Also, a quick note... the innkeeper blended into the background so much that it took a bunch of restarts before I realised he'd been in the first cutscene the entire time (instead of suddenly appearing later).

Anyway, this was a solid  game with nice pixel art that really sells its atmosphere. Nice work!

Never trust a bald man.

Very nice game, loved it. Click to attack was a bit weird, but other than that, great game! Loved the twist.

A gorgeous game about a knight fighting the winter and its monsters, simple yet engaging gameplay that feels a bit like a fromsoft game. I love the aesthetic of this game, it manages to evoke the feeling of a relentless winter really well. All and all fantastic job!

Loved the art of this game and how smooth and perfect sword animation was!

Also liked the twist of you game :)

Great job

This is such a beautiful game.

I had some issues with the collision and attack hit box, especially it seems like enemies can hit vertically but the player's hit animation doesn't hit vertically. Also, I randomly got stuck behind trees.

But both of those things are minor issues, with some quick fixes so I look forward to seeing where this game goes from here.

Really good. My only quibble is that in side view, the player's collision shape for movement should be just around their feet, so they can get closer to objects when passing below. (But that means you'd have to use a different Area2D as their damage hitbox.)

Art and animation were beautiful! Story was cool.

Great music and art! The twist was fun (even if I guessed it lol). Combat has a solid backbone, with a few tweaks it could be really sick with the combos!

I REALLY LOVED THIS ART. Well done!

Nice game! I really liked the art and the feel of the combat! It was very smooth :)

The art is beautiful, I really like it. I found myself kind of annoyed by the story because it had the player morality vibe but there were no choices I could make to effect it.

Amazing animations and art style, always love a good bit of dithering! Great progression too with the different move sets and enemies. Enjoyed the twist too! Although, like many others I was immediately wondering why we were slaying old dudes with walking sticks haha.

Lovedd the aesthetic a.nd visual style, the pixel art style really works here. The gameplay loop could be better but great effort nonetheless. Good job~

It would really mean a lot if you could check out our game and leave a rating as well!

I saw the shadows with cane... and i knew it... i tried to avoid but can't enter the inn...
Nice game, it will really work well if it had multiple ending.

I had a good time. The visuals are awesome, even if the gameplay feels a bit clunky sometimes. Overall, it's a fun game with a cool vibe.

The first thing I thought when romping through the woods was "Why am I beating helpless old men with canes?" Turns out I was on to something from the start :)
Such a fantastic art style. I love the bleak and very deliberately chosen color palette, the look of the environment, and the animations. And the story immediately took a darker turn. Very impressive!

Really great game! After starting the game I wondered why I was hitting an old man but turns out I had to do that to progress the story, would be cool if there was some kind of "non-violence" route ending
