I love how the light played a huge role in exploration! It's so well done. I think if you had a soundtrack it'd make the game a bit creepier. I thought the candle puzzle was a bit difficult and the shapes one to be too easy. Maybe try to strike a balance. Oh, and for some reason, I don't think I ever found the moth lol

Thanks for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed the game. I’m guessing you played the browser version? Generally speaking, the Windows/Mac builds seem to run better than the browser version. We noticed this ourselves, and others have commented on this, too. There is a soundtrack, but unfortunately, it can only be heard in the build versions. This is the first I’ve heard of someone not running across the moth, but that’s good to know! If you’re interested, maybe give the Windows or Mac build version a try some time and see if you run across the same issues.

Either way, thanks for playing!

Loved the creepy atmosphere, the flashlight really amped up the feeling of dread! I also appreciate the fact that the monster doesn't one shot you and that you get a chance to run away.

Looking around for the notes to determine which candles to light in such a tight environment with the monster lurking around made it very claustrophobic and intense. Really enjoyed it, good job!

This was a fun play - how did you achieve the flashlight following the mouse so smoothly?

Was there a specific order the candles needed to be lit? I saw the spoiler solution, but I had to try it a few ways before it worked? Could have just been my mistake though!

First of all, I must highly recommend to anyone reading this to play the downloadable version. The web one has some major bugs (at least for me) like the ai don't working at all that made my experience so much worse. Anyway, when I downloaded it that was solved, and none other bug bothered that much.

With that being said, awesome game! I really liked the atmosphere, the usage of lights and post-processing really added a lot to it, and it was well made! I also loved the art style, kinda reminded me of the fnaf minigames, something that I personally liked a lot. I really enjoyed solving the puzzles while escaping from the moths, really kept me fully concentrated.

(Spoiler)
I must admit that I missed a proper ending, when I got to the end I said "Wait, that's it?", at least a final screen would have made me understand that the game was over, but its not like it ruined the whole thing, just left me waiting for something else.

Good job!
