Played and rated! Amazing work, very strong Mario 64 vibes! To be honest, I'm really not much of a fan of 3d platformers so i don't think i can really comment on what makes one 'good', but the game felt polished and the controls felt nice and tight, my only feedback would be that the main character felt like a bit of a stand in model.. but hey, so was kirby

Great job on this game! The attention to detail and polish is impressive, especially considering the time constraints of a game jam. The movement and animations feel smooth, and the overall design is well-integrated. It's clear a lot of effort went into making a solid and enjoyable experience. Keep up the great work, and I’d love to see how this could evolve further in the future!

A very polished game, felt great with the controller. Sadly, I ran into a bug so couldn't finish it but you guys did an excellent job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! And apologies, someone encountered this bug before you as well and it's definitely very infuriating. You can delete your save file in the menu on the bottom right in order to retry! Will fix post-jam :)

Good job! Games looks and feel good! I played it with keyboard and it was great. Reminds me a bit of Mario 64 in the controls. Congratulations to the team!

Developer(+1)

We're glad the keyboard controls worked good for you! Definitely Mario 64 inspiration for sure.

Thank you!! and thanks for playing :D

Game's don't really scare me anymore. but this game made me scream!. it was very good 10/10

Developer(+1)

Haha we're glad it freaked you out a bit!! Sometimes it can catch you off guard...

TYSM!!

Submitted(+1)

Aww, I'd happily rate your game, but I only have Mac.

Developer(+1)

Aw sorry!! We wish we could do a mac build but no mac computers here :(

Thanks for taking a look anyways :)

A 3d platformer is already hard to make, the fact that your team manage to make a very polished one in just a week, it's an amazing feat worth admiration! As others have said, the movement feels amazing, you've managed to capture the fluidity and freedom of those new 3d mario game, truly impressive stuff!

You have such a solid base here, I'd love to see this expanded into a full game!

Developer(+1)

TYSM!! It's always good to hear that people enjoyed the movement in platformers since that's a pretty essential checkbox which I'm glad we ticked for you too! We will for sure will think about an expansion since this was a pretty enjoyable jam experience for us too!

Thanks for playing :)

I'm pretty sure that skeleton head is not to be trusted and he won't return Willy's family back, am I right?
What a cool game, this is seriously impressive what you've managed to achieve during just one week. The character controller is simply perfect. So precise, and so easy to pull off even difficult moves like flip jumps.
You've managed to do whole 3 (!) (three!!) full 3D platformer levels, and they're incredibly well designed and intuitive to traverse.
Did you previously work at Nintendo or something? This is incredible.

Developer(+2)

Haha whaaaat no way, definitely a trustworthy character...

Thank you!! I'm glad to hear the controls were good to you! We're surprised we managed to get that many areas as well, I'm happy you enjoyed them too as we worked hard on them. And I wish sometimes lol.

Thanks for playing!! :D

I'm floored you both had the time to make such a near-flawless character controller and design such a robust world around it. This is EASILY the best looking and most technically competent game I've played from this jam by far.

I'm not particularly compelled by the theme integration, but everything else around it is beyond perfect. Seriously, well done!

Developer(+2)

TYSM! It was super important to me that we got the character controls right since that can make or break the experience tremendously. And wow that makes me super happy to hear!! And definitely understandable on the theme point, since the premise of the game isn't quite clear right away, and the implication could lean on prior Wibbly games we've made. The interpretation is sarcasm to how the player character is resurrecting a not so good character (downright cartoonishly evil), but you definitely wouldn't know that just from playing this game so that's entirely fair.

Thanks again for playing!

The game is great and so are the graphics.

Developer(+2)

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it :D

Very fun game. The animations and movement are extremely fluid. Very polished and incredible for a single week. The game really flips your expectations too.

Developer(+1)

Glad you enjoyed it, animations and movement were very fun to get just right. We definitely tried to polish as much as we could so we're happy you think so! After leaving the hub it can definitely switch up fast and we loved the idea of player's not quite realizing how "off" it becomes until that moment.

Thanks for playing :)

Not only it's a beautifully made 3d platformer reminiscent of the N64 ones, it's one of the best games I've played this jam! Kind of insane you made this gem in just 7 days. I loved the contrast between funny moments and the horror elements. It felt really nice to control and has left me wanting to play more. I'm really hoping you guys are releasing a full game out of this.

In the end, this game is making me more eager to improve as a gamedev. Nice job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you!!! That's makes us super happy to hear! Combining a bit of horror and comedy is fun to do so we're glad you enjoyed it. A few others also said a full release would be cool so we're definitely not writing that idea off! I'm happy it inspired you and I hope you keep going as well, TYSM for playing :D

Easily the most feature complete game I've played thus far. Everything was excellent. The only gripe I had was that there was just one coin missing in the factory that I just could not find! The movement was very fluid and flowed into itself well, yet the control over my character still felt snappy and deliberate. Great job!

Developer(+1)

That means the world to us, thank you!! And omg that's really funny because a lot of people seem to miss one particular coin in the factory, and it's located right in the corner in the first room behind a set of pipes!

We're glad you enjoyed the player movement! I really like how you describe the feeling of it, since each state can combo into each other and the movement has deliberate weight to it that should make sense to the player intuitively. (at least, that's what we were aiming for)

Thanks for playing!

How did you manage to make it feel exactly like Mario 64? Awesome stuff had a lot of fun :) Voice acting at the end was comedy

Developer(+1)

I've made a decently accurate mario 64 player controller before so coding up another wasn't too bad! (its actually coded worse in this jam game since there's no state machine cuz rushed jam code lolol). the real answer is being obsessed with recreating existing platformers which I've done way too much...

Glad you enjoyed it! And I'm glad you also liked the ending stuff, the voice acting is done by Josh Caladia and he did a fantastic job on making that scene pretty funny :D

Submitted(+1)

This is definitely one of my favorites from the jam! The controls were so good! I didn't know I needed a dark version of Super Mario 64 until playing this game, lol. I especially love the voice acting at the end (the player character's voice is so funny along with his model). Would 100% play a longer version of this, very impressive work!

Developer(+2)

Mixing darker lite horror elements with platformer games is definitely something that makes me personally giddy so I'm glad you enjoyed that element. The cutscene and voice work was all animated and handled by my teammate Josh Caladia and he did a fantastic job on everything there (we thought it would be very funny for a very serious voice to come out of the funny cute gumball like player)! And that means a lot, TYSM! We'd definitely work on a fuller version if the demand is there :D

Submitted(+1)

MAN this is so SICK! so good for a week long jam! Love the platforming and animations for the character and the monsters work really well! Glad I put this on a list of jam games I wanted to play cuz its super up my alley lol. The movement is begging for a ledge grab tho but I read the other comments where u mention it lolol. o( ̄▽ ̄)d epic stuff

Developer(+1)

That means a lot, thank you!! Loved working on the animations and the monsters were fun to design so we're glad you liked it. And the game for sure needs a few more additions like the ledge grab to make the platforming a bit more intuitive! Thanks for playing, we really appreciate it ^.^

Submitted(+1)

Insane this was done in one week Ô_Ô super fun!

Really feels nostalgic to play ^_^

Developer(+2)

Lotsa late nights and rushing but it was worth it I think! Thanks for playing!! :D

Submitted(+1)

Super worth it! You're a beast ^_^ keep it up, looking forward to updates on this game!

Submitted(+1)

Very unique art style for 3d platformer! Nice job!

Developer(+2)

TYSM! The visuals were fun to work on so glad to hear you liked it :)

Submitted(+1)

A descent 3D platformer, I really liked animations(especially stop animation!).

Picture is pleasant and a lot of work done. Congratulations with this result!

Developer(+2)

I'm glad you like the animations since that was one of my favorite aspects of building the player! Thank you so much! :)
