music is great! i was worried i wouldn't be able to get to this one but i'm glad it came through.  i balanced my toys.  poorly U_U

I'm so glad to see that you got it working. This is such a fun little pick up and play game. I played a few rounds trying to one up myself and honestly just left it up in the background for the tunes.

YO IT WORKS LET'S GOOOO

ngl, i giggled when i first saw this game and got really disappointed when i couldn't play, but now i CAN and i can balance sixteen dildos on the world's most robust dick and it's GREAT

very fun concept. made me laugh. made me spend more time than i probably should've playing it. extra points for dropping near the side is a great way to balance away my leaning tower of dildos at the center. good, great, perfect game-jam type stuff

Damn, the music didn't need to go this hard for such a silly game :D

Fun little Arcade-Game. I especially like, how after a couple of objects the platform starts to shake a bit each time something new is being added. Really gives the feeling that the whole thing gets more and more unstable with each object.

just felt like the right kind of music for this kind of jam

Glad to see this game working now, I gave it a go and it’s pretty fun! Some of the toys are really bouncy so it’s not that simple to play. The fact that you score more for dropping things away from the center is a nice incentive for riskier plays, though I fell off at 5000 due to greed lol

Developer(+1)

I don't think there's any bounce specifically implemented, but I'll take any difficulty modifier that comes my way

Definitely made a point I should mention in the game description, very much risk/reward by design

Submitted(+1)

I think the bounce comes from unusual shapes, dropping a buttplug on the pointy end is just like trying to get a american football/rugby ball to bounce a specific way, but I think the unpredictability plays into the risky plays too

The game works now! :D

I managed to get a score of 2434!

I balance sex toys on my penis
So the [user did not finish coming up with parody lyrics for this joke]

For real though i followed bhjin's lead to get this working and it's alright. You say in the description it's pretty barebones but a lot of stuff that gets submitted to jams is. Plus i know the pain of exporting something and only afterward realizing a node was hidden or shown when it shouldn't be, because you were mucking around in the scene. I agree that it'd be perfectly acceptable to release a patch that shows the play button.

I scored 6589 btw

Developer

Thank you for your kindness and grace, and for setting a high score. It should be operational now.

We had to pry this open via Godot RE Tools just to be able to play it. We might genuinely be the first person other than the author to successfully play this game. The issue that prevents the game from being playable is that the play node in the main menu scene is simply hidden, making it unable to be interacted with. Unhiding the node makes the game fully playable (and thus ratable), even in a web export.

It’d be nice to see a hotfix that unhides the node! It’s very much type of thing that’s acceptable to hotfix during a gamejam’s rating period.

The game itself is decently solid for what it is; it reminds us heavily of the Flash era of web games, where games generally stuck with a fairly humble scope.

Thanks, I don't know why that happened, must've been the crunch, but I've unhidden it and even put up a windows executable just in case.

Also getting the same bug as reported with seeing the title screen and nothing happening beyond that.

Developer

Let me know if it's still an issue now.

Unfortunately this game seems to be unplayable. It doesn't seem possible to progress past the title screen. The title screen also appears to be weirdly zoomed partially into a corner.

Developer

Yes it was, it should be fixed now.

This game currently doesn't function, I think there's a major bug with the title screen

Developer

There was, and the page itself wasn't set up right. Really the bug was me.

Submitted(+1)

This doesn’t function. The game screen is zoomed into the title screen saying “A Balancing” and nothing else is visible, and nothing is interactive. Pulling out the iframe from the source and opening it in a new tab at least shows the entire title screen but it is not interactable.

Developer

Yes, this was a bad viewport size setting on my part. Not sure why the title screen was fucked, but made sure that's alright now too.
