Wow, what an interesting game idea! The atmosphere and sound design are awesome!

But I didn't quite understand where I should go. The map was very big and a little difficult to navigate. It was also easy to go through the textures and fall down or get stuck in them.

Otherwise, it's a pretty tense and very atmospheric experience. Great job!

Broooooo. What an incredible submission!!!

The visuals & narrative bits are SO well done, and I loved the different "tasks"! It honestly feels like a fully-fledged game, nearly ready to be shipped, haha (pun unintended).

I do have one issue with it - it might just be my personal taste, but I felt like running around the place figuring out the layout and the room positions and stuff was a little.. eh?

I was thinking it could be nice if you had flashing red lights leading you towards the rooms that have faulty mechanisms in them - but Idk, it might make the game too easy? I feel like most of the challenge comes from map knowledge, as of now.

Another thing that confused me a bit was how the interactable objects all always look the same, with that green rectangle icon on them - I was expecting there to be a separate indicator for when the object is actually interactable (which would mean I don't have to walk up to it and spam the E key like a maniac - a single glance would be enough, haha).

Anyways - insanely impressive work, guys! Keep it up! :D

Nice game, good art design!

I felt atmosphere of starcraft 1 for some reason and it felt good :D

found a bug i think i'll write about it

Thx for making it!

Developer

Oh man, I see you really did write about it! I'm crawling into bed for the night (it's the evening for us New Zealanders) but I'll be sure to follow-up with a reply on your feedback post and try to give the same thoughtfulness for your game in return.

Thank you so much for all the awesome feedback, I'll forward it all to the team :D

You've really nailed the feeling of being onboard a worn down spaceship, the atmosphere is through the roof! I also liked the fixed Resident Evil style camera when running around the different parts of the ship.

Didn't manage to save the ship, but will give it another go when I have more time.

Well done putting this together in a week!

Developer

Yaaay! Thank you.
It's definitely survival horror inspired, though admittedly I've not yet played the classics D:

Let us know if you ever make it to the end!

Really awesome atmosphere, and I love the idea - though it would be nice to know where the ship's problem is rather than having to find it manually. On my first go I timed out on day one as I opened the engine room door!

Also found a possible bug on a later playthrough: I opened the computer screen at the top of the ship and everything froze? Perhaps I just missed something?

Great job over all!

Developer

Thank you! I've had a yearning to do sci-fi, so hopefully I'll return to this idea or something similar.
Unfortunately, an indicator of where the failures are got left on the cutting room floor! As things do...

Also, damn D; that sounds like a bug! Were you playing the Browser or the Windows version?

Great atmosphere and very challenging! I struggled to find my way around so a map might have been useful though maybe that's part of the difficulty? Reading the comments, I see there is a map room I don't know if I found. Still great game. Good job!

Developer

Possibly too hard! xD
Thank you, we tried hard to nail the atmosphere.

I finally found the time to try your game. Awesome work! I really liked the visuals and the smooth movements. I also liked the subtle changes in the SFX depending on the place. Mainly, when you show the spaciousness of the engine room just through audio, it was awesome! I'm taking inspiration from this for one of my future games.

Developer

All thanks to Kylie :D she kicked ass with the SFX work!
Another trick we used for the engine room was to remove the walls entirely. It almost exists in an otherworldy void. I wanted all the focus to be on the engine itself.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for giving it a shot!
