It's unfortunate to see a dev stray into the pits of project hopping, but at least this is (supposedly) related to Ferarum. Writing down my thoughts as I play.
UI feels comfy, clunky in all the right ways. The photos are nice, I like the comet picture the most.
The documents are neat, I like how you mess with the UI layout and stuff.
I see the 'rarum tie-ins in the games section. I don't like hurting girls so the Vivi minigame did nothing for me. The 8-bit Gymnopédie No. 1 rendition in the Frankie game is nice, stayed on that for a while to just listen to it. Not surprised to see Jojo talk being unavailable, there's another game for that.
I have two hearts on my desktop after going through all directories once. I'm sure there's more to see but my attempts at finding more stuff were to no avail. I've always been terrible with this genre of "game" where you have to discover stuff through trial and error, so I'll just leave it to someone else.
Thanks bro! Watched the whole stream and god it was funny, kept laughing whenever you busted out the Family Guy footage (nice high level rarum reference btw) for the slightest things. If I've traumatized you I'm sorry man! Would love to make a bigger Ferarum universe, the characters need their room and the visual novel format just doesn't do them justice. Never did. I think getting to control Jojo in third person could be a fun idea for a prequel... Thanks again for letting me be part of the stream bro, your feedback has never once been unhelpful <3
I would disagree about visual novel format novel not doing justice to the characters - I feel like VN is the easiest genre to implement the unexpected and startle/surprise the player, just like you did in Ferarum with point&click segments/hallway walking and stuff. But I understand what you mean. I'm a very big fan of your work, you manage to hit all the right notes for me to just love the story that you're crafting.
So good luck, I'm really looking forward to your next update to Ferarum. I was kinda hoping you would submit it to DD61 so that I could read it on stream (that's why I set up the voice changer lol), but hey, this game was a nice surprise, absolutely not uwelcome.
I enjoyed exploring the horny girls on the weird old computer.
Gui is beautiful, relaxing to look at.
Whipping game is confusing but hot. idk what the white scribble crosshair is?
Reading the writings/drawings is fascinating.
I wish the resolution was higher or not anti-aliased because the blurred pixel text hurts my eyes.
Figuring out how to emulate a gba game was irritating. Please keep the aesthetic but code it as a web game I can click play on instantly.
The pixel art is excellent but infrequent and too softcore to be a "bdsm porn masturbate-able flash game", feels more like those itch.io domino club art experiences
Thank you!! That anti-aliased text (in Raising Project) was truly horrible so don't worry, it's been redone ;) Lesson learnt for next time. Also the lack of a web version at the time was due to my own stupidity exporting as a ROM instead of a HTML file. Another lesson for next time. As for the softcore side of things, I'd rather keep it tame especially after the Hamster Footage in Ferarum made a lot of people uncomfortable. Stay tuned for the Jojo.Talk update though, there'll be more CG fappy material in it!
the lack of sound really hurts it, but it looks cool and the fact that it could all run on a physical gameboy is mechanically impressive i don't know how big the homebrew market is, but i kind of doubt that people would pay money for it though
Thanks man! The homebrew scene is good enough for good ole LimitedRun to put out physical copies here and there, and the GBJam seems pretty popular. Not that Masturbrowse will appear in either... Also the sound issue, or lack thereof, is fixed! Beeps and boops, it's great, you'll love it.
Not much there in terms of gameplay, but the whole design and level of interactivity was cool. I ran it on Mednafen, and it took me a few minutes to realize that numpad 2 and 3 were the B and A buttons, but once I got it, it was very easy to navigate the whole thing (although there didn't seem to be an option to exit the Touch Vivi minigame). It's insanely impressive that you were able to make this via GBA ROM, and the artwork (while extremely erotic and sometimes kinda fucked up) was very well done.
Really cool for a GBC game. Shockingly lewd. Weird horror angle at times but the bondage game was fun. I think this is fun. Shocking how you were able to do this as a GBC game with the content in this.
For anybody wondering, use retroarch, it worked perfectly for me there.
Thank you!! A lot of the scenes were just baaaaaarely under the tile limit or had to be ugly-afied so that GBStudio picks up on the right details. That pic, for example, looks like this before the engine's gutting process (palettes did all the heavy lifting)
Edit: Included the original whip image too. Notice the missing marks?

It was enjoyable and well-made, keep it up bro.
Love the presentation.
But I think I've seen most of it, so I wonder if there's some puzzle elements where you keep discovering more weird stuff.
Thanks!! A game without secret puzzle elements sounds like a horrible nightmare (ᗒᗣᗕ)՞
Women say that about me too :(
I even managed to stream it. Family Guy Funny Moments censorship is the best kind of censorship.
Nice companion app. Are you gonna dip your toes into ARG/Analog Horror territory with Ferarum universe? Big if true.
Also - huge props for making a game boy game. Absolute madman.

Thanks!! I've taken your advice and made that minigame a little easier to exit!

Also, nice details.

This is better, and you are a great pixel artist.
Aw shucks <3
