thanks for the wholesome experience! it made me chuckle!
I think the branching could've been more central to the experience. but overall, I liked the style and direction! I think you did a good job! :)
Beautiful art style and overall really nice game! good job
So much love went into this! The references were perfectly placed (they all made me laugh, but Ratchet & Bonk is definitely my favorite), and those plus the adorable art were enough to make me fall in love with this little game.
The gameplay concept is also quite unique and really encourages exploring all the fun easter eggs. Great job, I had a blast!
The art is so cool and it's fun to catch all the references, but I struggled to understand the gameplay, even after reading the explanation.
Sorry, I wanted to like it, I love the concept!
Thank you for the feedback and compliments!
Hope it helps!
If you are in the mood to give it a second try, I can add more context:
by chatting with the vendors you can learn what they desire. Thru daialogs and barter (like old rpgs) they will unlock rare items that are not displayed right away. When you are satisfied with your collection you can exit the fair at the bottom of the map and your brother will evaluate it, showing you what can be unlocked. They key is to collect all the items of the same category (sony, weapons ecc) to get better scores. Basically is a balance of "how do I get money" and "want collection I want at the end"
So sorry, we couldn't implement the guidelines in-game cause of the deadline
Hellooo, I tried the game again after your explanation and understood the gameplay a little better.
I think the flow threw me off at the beginning: after ending the day for the first time, all the shops closed again and it wasn't clear that I had to speak with the guy with the flower to unlock them again and do another run. I thought it was like "a second day" and I couldn't understand why all the shops were closed :D
I'll raise my votes for fairness, but I suggest focusing on making the flow clearer in future iterations ^^
Keep working on it, the idea is promising :)))
Thank you so much for the second chance!
One of the original ideas was indeed to have different days, we tried to salvage what we could and make it one day only.
