I already loved this playing without sound as a hilarious roguelike slapstick simulator, but judging from the other comments I need to replay this with headphones soon.
Side note: it works perfectly on Steam Deck.
Oh thanks a lot! Great to know it works on the Deck!
Really loved the atmosphere of it all.
Nice focus on the music and sound effects, I haven’t experienced a game with such a contrast in visuals and high fidelity sounds. It actually works quite well!
Great job, and great jamming with you!
Thank you! Great jamming with you too 😎
This is really great. Immersive and creepy in a way that games like this don't usually even try to be.
Thank you! Lively imagination on the player's part help I'm sure!
It's been said but the atmosphere you've managed to create through sound is incredible and the little variations go a long way. It really allows the mind to wander and imagine the scenes unfolding. The first time a troll was chasing me it actually freaked me out!
Haha, mission accomplished! So happy to hear you had that experience!
Really well done with the sound design and atmosphere. The little @ symbol chasing the letter k really feels like fighting against monsters in a cave.
Thank you! The aim was definitely to try to bring the ascii to life with sound, so I'm super happy to hear it enhanced your experience!
Really well done! A lot of fun, and surprisingly tense wandering around and wondering what the kobolds will be doing.
Thank you!
